Tonight, it's "Death Wish 3".

The first Death Wish was critically acclaimed, and dealt with serious issues such as police corruption, gun control, vigilantism, and the influence of crime on society.

As these movies went on though, they became increasingly cartoonish and low-brow. Still, they are surprisingly entertaining and filled with great action scenes and dark humor. Plus, Jimmy Page (yes, THAT Jimmy Page) scored a couple of these films.

I'll have to admit though, I'm a bit worried about the AMC Network. Last week, it was all Dirty Harry movies (which are also very entertaining). However, for a channel that started out as a place for movies like Casablanca and Citizen Kane, their standards of programming have lowered a bit.

Going to be watching Father Goose in a while. Starring Cary Grant, Leslie Caron and Trevor Howard. This is Cary Grant's second to last movie. One of my favorite romantic comedies. I read somewhere that Grant said this role, most accurately depicted his real life personality.

Grant wants to sit out of WWII, avoid it. But, Trevor Howard's character has other plans and suckers Grant into becoming a coast watcher for the allies on a deserted island; well deserted for a while at least.
