A complete abomination when compared to the original book of the same name , but all in all it`s a weirdly enjoyable inappropriately pun filled bit of hokum .

So far the films been on just five minutes proper and already Arnie sporting a totally unbelievable and obviously fake ginger beard has said " Dooooo it " three times and " Kum auuuun " once

Now i know i shouldn`t have done it ,and that it`s an act that goes beyond the laws of rhyme , reason or nature

But i counted how many times Arnold said his most popular catch phrase during that film

Not talking about the two named above in my quote , or the infamous " I`ll be back" and " Gaaaat dooouuuuuun " no i`m talking about his much loved " Gggggnnnnnnaaaarrrwwwwannnn" .

Look if you don`t know what i mean then you haven`t watched enough of his classics

By the way i counted fourteen " Gggggnnnnnnaaaarrrwwwwannnns"

Right now watching Horseman , missed a big chunk of the start and so far must admit it looks shite .

But then Zhang Ziyi co-stars and for me makes it more than alright

This was on at the weekend on bbc2 and it's one of my all time favorite films. 'The Life And Death of Colonel Blimp' I know it paints a very cosy picture of the british sence of fair play that annoys a lot of people, but for me it transends all of its intended propaganda intentions and is really about friendship, love lost and above all else doing the right thing for the sake of honour desipte personal cost, a concept unfortunatly many people today do not understand in a society that is driven by the 'me first' concept and the desire to be a celebrity. It's also a shame that a lot of our leaders over the past fifty years or so haven't been able to live upto these higher ideals.

Just watched the not-at-all-a-rip-off-of-Star-Wars Starcrash with the sultry Caroline Munro and the Hoff...

Bad dubbing, bad acting, bad special effects...but somehow it still remained watchable!

I finally got around to seeing "The Ring Cycle" (Tolkien, not Wagner!), thanks to my brother-in-law ripping some DVD's. I hadn't read the books since I was a kid.
Even though I'm a fantasy fan, I never got around to re-reading them, since there is so much stuff out there, like Lord Dunsany and others. I will get around to it sometime!

I did get tired of Gollum mumbling "the Precious" over and over again, though. Little Bastard.

Default Damnation Alley - 1977

"More Than A Movie, An Adventure You'll Never Forget."

OK, starring Jan-Michael Vincent and George Peppard. with Paul Winfield,
Dominique Sanda, and Jackie Earle Haley. I saw this as a kid and thought
it would be a hoot to see again. hmmmm.

great movie for a snowy day!

Easy Rider

It was 2nd from the top of my netflix list when Dennis Hopper died so I wasn't going to be seeing it for awhile and moved it far down the list a couple of times.

Watched it with my 83 year old mum and she gave it a thumbs up too. Goes to show that you're never too old to become a dangerous anti-establishment radical.
