But to be worse than Kevin Rudd is a towering achievement. Here in Britain, David Cameron is not yet worse than Gordon Brown was, but he's working on it.

Wanna new PM?

Black market weapons could be very expensive for you

"Figures obtained by the Greens MP David Shoebridge earlier this year show that the number of registered handguns in NSW increased by 24 per cent in six years. "The number ... has exploded from 33,858 in 2005 to 42,127 in late 2011," he said.
A small portion of these were diverted to the black market either by theft or corrupt dealers and owners and were bought by criminals for up to $15,000"

I caught the tail end of a news broadcast the night before last (i don't recall where, some mining town in West Australia) where a population of people are paying around $1,100.00 a week for rent of pretty standard 3 bedroom houses.

The story was rents were set to decrease, due to the mining companies plans to erect cheaper housing (like single mens quarters?), which caused some ire among local residents.

Hey, this is nothing to laugh about - one of these could seriously reschedule your afternoon

Children escape from snake through window

"Eighteen children had to escape their kindergarten through a window after a deadly eastern brown snake slithered into the classroom and chased them through three rooms south of Brisbane.
The children had just finished lunch at C&K Carbrook Community Kindergarten and were lying down for a nap two weeks ago when the assistant teacher Leanne Welke screamed "snake".
Centre director Robyn Fowler was at the whiteboard of the classroom and turned around to see the snake slithering between the children's beds, which were five to 10 centimetres off the ground.
"It was in a frenzy, there's no two ways to say it, the snake was in a frenzy," she said."

Luckily, Australia has nice people called Snake Catchers who collected the snake and put it back in its desert

I had considered moving to Oz to escape Barack Obama's Utopia, apparently there is no escape from these people on this planet. Perhaps I will convert to Judaism and move to Israel.

No, I don't want to be near those animals

That is true. A friend of my son, an electrician by trade, is currently working in WA, sharing three converted shipping containers with two other tradesmen. His weekly share of the rent is around $900. However, at the grand old age of twenty four he recently paid cash for a $400,000 home...so obviously what he is paying out on the swings, he is recuperating in a big way on the roundabout.
It is not as easy to get jobs over there as people imagine, but for those who do, the wages are extraordinary.
