Yep, told them that they were now not just American citizens, but Texans to boot.

It seems so long ago, but its only back in 2015 that Jeb Bush was thought to be a shoe-in favourite to win the Republican nomination. The tide turned against him rapidly, and IMHO it started to turn when he spoke in rallies advocating a "pathway to citizenship" for illegal aliens. It wasn't what Republican voters wanted to happen and it told them that he did not represent them.

Jeb is married to a woman who was a Mexican citizen at the time they were married. That might have had an influence on his position.

I'm a conservative, I know evil pure evil lol, anyway I'm for a pathway for citizenship but there also needs to be a stop to people coming across the border. We dont need to be Europe, we dont need those issues here, I think the current road legalization needs to be less treacherous and expensive. As a side note I dont give a crap about people coming here to work, if they want to work more power to them hell we need it with all the millennials who are too good to work, what I am against is them dying in the desert south of my city. I think if the right had pushed thru a "path" for illegals they would have owned that voting bloc and would have out played the left's identity politics card. Ok let the hate flow now....

The only member I recall who disliked Jeb Bush and his path to citizenship was Savage something or other - who got permabanned last year for some reason.

Wanting to build a physical wall to shut out human migration and supporting a pathway to citizenship aren't obviously compatible positions, though I can see how someone might be able to reconcile them.

They haven't even got the environmental impact reports to OK this wall. Even when the Republicans had the majority, they weren't stupid enough to push it through. The other options to the wall haven't been considered, the cost of acquiring all the private land near the border is rarely mentioned, tech is getting better every day, this pink elephant wall just seems like a stupid idea.

The Republican Party is just letting morons run it. Rather sickening to see how easily Ann Coulter, Putin and Rocket Man manipulate Trump.

If you lived here instead of there, you would fit in here really well too....

It's real easy to say you like someone and what they're doing when you don't have to deal with the consequences.
