Question regard "Set" postings

I'm completely at odds with most people on this - if I like a particular model I want the complete photoset; it satisfies both the obsessional qualities of liking a girl, and the nerd completist part of my nature.

And what might look like the same photo to you, may not look like the same photo to me - perhaps there's something different about her eyes, her smile etc, from shot to shot that only I might notice because I find her rather more interesting and attractive than you do.

And do we really want to go back to the days of magazine-style editors forcing their choice of pictures on us? I thought the point of the interweb was that we could have our cake and eat it.

I was actually referring to celeb photos...and I know I'll get a lot of flak here, but sorry, that's just my opinion. There's nothing more boring or time consuming to me than uninspired posts of celebrities ripped from celeb tabloid sites. Julianne Moore, or Jessica Biel, or Jennifer Garner are all outstanding looking women, but I don't want to look at 50 pictures of them walking down the red carpet in a full length gown, or playing with their kids, or loading their groceries into the car. Sure, it's easy to download this crap from thousands of celeb sites and post them, and some members get a lot of thanks by being copying machines, but personally...I just don't get off looking at Jennifer Love Hewitt in a sweatsuit taking her dog for a shit in the park.

OK yeah, I agree with this. Most of the celeb pics you see are the result of a pap holding down the fire button on his machine-gun SLR, and don't really offer much. The red carpet shots are all right I guess - at a push - in that they are actually posing for the camera, but I have never really understood the appeal of the series of long-range shots taken of an unsuspecting woman pulling her bikini bottoms out of her arse crack.

I guess to each his own! Personally, I much prefer amateurs in natural, candid, or spontaneous shots as opposed to posed models wearing enough make-up to smother a horse looking like rehearsed puppets or mannequins.

Just a thought and suggestion ... perhaps a specially devoted all/miscellaneous photoset thread would be nice and in order. It would appease both pro and con photoset members. Hence, you photoset lovers could get out your magnifying glasses and examine at your heart's content, and we non-favorable phototset members would no longer need to "fast-forward" over photosets which our obviously untrained eyes consider to be a boringly repetitive waste-of-time and space photos.

In my opinion, quite often a number of those photosets are being posted in the wrong threads anyways, for example: obvious model photos appearing in amateur related/titled threads; shaved and/or landing strip pussies appearing in hairy pussy threads; etc, just to name a couple, but there are others.

So, since some photosets are making their way into some wrong locations, either accidentally or otherwise, then perhaps a specially devoted all/miscellaneous photoset thread might just prove to be the answer in being pleasing and beneficial to all.

Don't start shooting at me or send the lynch mob out after me, it is just a thought and a suggestion! As you can see from the number of "thanks" that I've made in the relatively short time that I have been a member (and those are only the number of thanks I've felt warranted a thank you thus far), I have viewed quite a number of photos thus far and feel that I have made a number of noteworthy observations ... and as long as I stay within bounds I believe that as a member I am entitled to provide/offer my thoughts, suggestions and opinions. user cp/edit options/thread display options posts per page 5

As to the posters who cant seem to keep within the guidelines of a threads topic
their simply posting for thanks and nought else.

I suppose setting and reducing the number of posts per page to 5 would be an alternative, but let me point out it would then almost take forever to get through some threads containing 500 or 1000+ pages ... and also, photosets do appear on more than just fetish threads from what I have seen.

I would also respectively point out that posters posting photos or photosets in thread topics not within the guidelines, whether doing so simply for "thanks" and naught else, still does not make it right and are in violation of the rules the way I perceive it, and they should reprimanded and the photos deleted. I'm sure the Mods would not tolerate or allow, lets say, Raquel Welsh photos to be posted in a Liz Taylor thread, and in all likelihood would delete them and possibly reprimand the poster ... posters who are posting other various photos and/or photosets not within a thread's guidelines (and/or simply for thanks) should be no exception or regarded any differently.

I still feel and believe that it would be much simpler for all concerned to simply have all photosets contained in one nicely convenient bundle and package in one miscellaneous photoset thread ... then photoset lovers would know exactly where all photosets are located and can be found for them to examine and select their favorite shots with their scrutinizing and discerning eye.

I agree with this. For the first two years of my membership I just looked at the magazine scans. On threads such as "Redheads" and Milf&Mature and others you have thousands of posts where almost all the posts consist of hundreds of slightly different photos of the same model, post after post, after post. the same thing over and over. Sometime these magazine scan posters will download a set of a particular model in various stages of un-dress dozens of times, each of the different ones just a slight change in dress or something else. I think that if you got rid of all the redundancy you could reduce the size of these threads by hundreds of pages!!

I know that my tastes are likely to be different than someone else's, so why would I deprive others of the ability to choose which images they prefer? I fully agree that large sets can be repetitive, but as has been mentioned previously, it's all down to nuance. A certain look in the eyes, a knowing smile, a particular pose... we each have our turn-ons. I, for one, don't like hardcore images. They do nothing for me. I'm also not a huge fan of women with copious amounts of pubic hair. Some people like these things. Good on 'em. Luckily, we have an abundance of material which appeals to different interests contributed by fellow members free of charge. That's pretty cool when you think about it.

In general, I'm just happy to see people contributing. Whether it's a 270 image set or 4 random images found on Google, it adds to the content available. And after all, content is what drives people to VEF.

I have not, or never had any material to post that was not already here.
When my pc is running slow a thread with hundreds of tiny variations on a theme meaning a page takes ages to load before I find there was nothing to look at is a pisser. The members who put up a couple of pix as a sample and alink to a gallery with one hundred plus are the heroes of this forum imho. The work is done by them, thanks, and we can scroll past quickly if we dont like what the small samples show.

The original reason for allowing large posts 125(now 150 images)
was to give members , especially those on slow connections / bandwidth limits

The off forum gallery link solves loading but pays for this with

No perfect system

I still think members forget we have other ways of making threads more user friendly
If only people used titles properly the threaded or hybrid options would be an option
