AKA Mrs Gram Parsons.

Gram Parsons (1946-1973), for those who don't know, was a founding father of country-rock through his pioneering work with The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, and as a solo artist. If you like the roots rock sound and are unfamiliar with his work, you should rectify that situation immediately.

The bizarre events following Gram's death would inspire the 2003 film Grand Theft Parsons.

Anyway, back to Gretchen. She was born in California in 1952 and grew up in wealthy Newport Beach. From an online source:

"Also in 1969, late in the year, 23-year-old Gram hooked up with 16-year-old Gretchen Burrell. His new love interest was the daughter of high-profile news anchor Larry Burrell, who was very well-connected in Hollywood. Before long, Gretchen had moved into Parsons’ place at the notorious Chateau Marmont Hotel, with her parents’ blessings – because most wealthy parents, I would think, want their teenage daughter living in a debauched rock star’s drug den."

Gretchen acted in precisely one film, Pretty Maids All In A Row (1971).

Gretchen is now known as Gretchen Parsons Carpenter and appeared under that name in a 2006 documentary on Gram called Fallen Angel.
