Celebrate VEF's 10th Birthday Ye Bastards

I joined here because I was looking to add to my picture collection but to be honest most of what was here was already available via a search of engines like Lycos and Altavista(to name but two) so I thought what the hell I'll add to some threads and start a load of others-who knew I would still be here all these years later. About 4-5 months after I joined I was invited to be a Moderator, which I was both surprised at and delighted. It wasn't all roses and chocolates but it was a lot easier because there weren't many members to begin with, and unlike today where some Mods are compartmentalized into certain threads I had a roving brief, but I concentrated on my first love which was Soft core and that is where I remain to this day. It is still the best place around, although I was bloody angry that two or three places nicked a lot of our stuff blatantly and in some cases us members were given weird names. Thankfully they didn't flourish for too long. On a personal note I've made some good friends, one of the best being the Admin extraordinaire that is INGLORIOUS and we have remained so since we both started here.

I found this place by accident like most people, and I thought forums are cool, only being used to torrent sites, so I tried a few more, then realised VEF was unique, simply the best. If you post here a lot, you may get some grief from a mod or two at first if you mess up, but if you stick to the rules, you will find it the most fulfilling and informative site ever, and long may it continue

My story contains a bit of irony. I think I first discovered VEF via one of the search engines while looking to add to my collection of certain models and performers. There was no reason to register as all the content was free and I knew there was no way I could ever contribute anything. So like most others I was a lurker for some time. Now for the ironic bit. The only reason I finally registered was there was a model id request for which I knew the answer and I had to register to make the post. So my very first post here was to solve a model id request and now who's running the section?

Like others have said this is truly an interactive community. There are people here whom I consider to be friends even though we're in different parts of the world, have never met, and probably never will meet in person. There's even one whom I've wept for (R.I.P. erdnuss). There's very few people in my 3-dimensional world who could cause that.

Happy 10th VEF and may we have ten more.

The post is just a set of four links to rodox galleries, but at least 3 of the 4 links still work and the galleries are still up!

How do I know it's the oldest? The postID number is "2" and there ain't no number 1 working anymore.

I first came to VEF in late 2006 when a torrent site (puretna, now defunct) where I was active, was having technical problems. Don't recall now how I discovered this forum, probably pointed here by a fellow puretna member. But I do remember being a little annoyed that some VEF members were reposting my vids here without credit to me!

On the other hand, I found some movies here that weren't available elsewhere, so I kept coming back, though I wasn't really active until a few years later.

The thing that eventually hooked me was that people here actually liked to discuss the history, the actresses, the directors and all sorts of things that I was interested in, and that weren't being discussed anywhere else on the Net that I could find. And some of the members here were old enough to remember when vintage and classic porn was first released, back in the 60s, 70s and 80s. There is a wealth of knowledge and insight here that just isn't matched anywhere else.

And yes, I made a few friends along the way.

I joined in 2007, as an unapologetic geek which I remain to this day I had been searching for Dr Who and other science fiction stuff and soon found an easy going community with a few members including a certain green skulled joker and I helping to keep certain celeb threads ticking along nicely in the early years.
Like many I started off slowly and as I found my feet here I began to make more posts and find new interests and over the course of time just went with the flow.
It's an escape from reality although there are a few who just take things too seriously, lighten up fellas this is cyberspace and like the past it's another country and we do things different here. We have had more than a few hare brained aggressive numpties over the years along with countless members who keep asking the same questions such as "why was my post removed" without bothering to even take a quick look at the basic rules. Thankfully we still have plenty active members from all over the world who are willing to join in and can give and take a bit of gentle ribbing along the way.
I've been on a few other forums some of which sadly consist of about 5-10% content and 90% thanks posts and we want to stay away from that path.
Here's hoping that both I and VEF see it through another decade without too much degradation.

I discovered VEF from the recommendation of member DukeOfKnockers. At first, it was the porn that brought me here, but I discovered what the rest of VEF offered, so it became a daily destination. I discovered the passionate American football fans from all over the US and the rest of the world. I found the vast knowledge and opinions of World War II from the international memebership. Corny jokes, miscellaneous mirth montages, some pictures and gifs describing members have put many a smile on my face and laughs in my belly.

And most importantly, the people who I've encountered here at VEF have made this one of the best places on the net. People like scoundrel, keefriff, Estreeter, sweatyhat, palo5, exfarmer, winebeavis, Mal Hombre, SanteeFats, grossnex, ballyhoo, Eric Cartman, MaxJoker, tabler, Ninjaturtle have brightened my life at times and gentlemen, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.* Sadly however, there are those that have either moved on with life like cardinalcary, Doctor Who and qwerty007, or even more sadly moved on from life like billybunter, erdnuss and TitansFan.

But what Estreeter said in a previous post applies to all of us.
