In Canada, the cops would have arrested the mother, as they would have in the UK. Seems that here, they would rather that the perp got away with the 2 kiddies.

Actually this right here stood out to me more than the actual incident itself. It seems that the news, local or national have a much easier time showing minorities as the perpetrators of crime than they do trying to show them as actual victims of crime.

They never want to show them as the victim unless its an officer involved incident. The whole point of the media is to distract and divide. If you separate the hearts and minds, by racial divide, they are easier to win. Imagine if a news story didnt have a skin tone bias?

In terms of local news, I see stories regarding "Black on Black" crime and Vietnamese gang members home invading other Vietnamese on more than an occasional basis.

The latest story of a 92 visitor from Mexico being beaten by a 30 year old Black woman yelling "Go back to Mexico" is a rare example of race being displayed in the National news. https://www.wtsp.com/article/news/na...a-2c3da664c220 We have snowflakes in California who will state putting her picture in the news story and stating her color is racist.

well, when the norm used to be only certain racial groups seem to be named in those situations maybe it was something that needed to be done.

actually, I think trying to demonize a people for their intra-racial crime rate is racist in it of itself. In the US if you're going to be a victim of a crime 8-9 times Outta 10 the perpetrator is going to be come from your race. Intra-racial crime is not an indicator of criminality, but more how segregated American society still is.

Knowing the history of that situation I must sort of have to sign with the snowflakes on this one. Well over a decade ago when the Latino gangs were targeting and killing black citizens in the streets not much talk seem to make the Press were they being politically correct then?

Are you bothered when a crime is reported and the news won't report the suspect's race? That seems to be a common occurrence these days.

It bothers the hell out of me. Why report the crime if you won't give details which might prevent the criminal from repeating it?

There are a few reports of the various "group" robberies committed by black teens around the bay area. No one seems to get arrested. If these types of robberies were committed by White or Asian groups, I would believe they would receive much more press. But because they are committed by Black teens, not much is said.

I had not heard that Black people were being targeted by Latinos decades ago, but I do hear that Asian old folk are targeted by Black youth on a frequent basis in Oakland. It does not get much local or national press either.

it bothers me far more that certain crimes are not reported due to the color of the either the victim or the perpetrator. decisions like that have implications from the general Public's View of the people To eventually the justice system itself.

yeah the Latino Black Gang thing happened about a decade ago over drug Turf basically was supposed to be a gang thing but one side seemed to take it to another level and try to involve civilians. as with the Black-Asian thing up north it doesn't seem to move the needle with the Press and that should be far more disturbing than the Press reporting on the race on every crime committed.
