Dont like the pomp and ceremony and the pretentious aristocratic crowd looking like over preened peacocks at a ceremony IGNORE them

Got a question for ya.

If the British public finds Kate Middleton so lovely they would like her to be the next Head of the Commonwealth, will Charles ever abdicates so that William becomes the next King? Decisions, decisions...

Course that is the idel scenario really cause if the Queen lives as long as her own mother, she could easily outlive Charles.

Oh the drama at Buckingham Palace eh?

By the time Her Maj. pops off ,Charles might be in his eighties and Willy would be nearly forty perhaps with teenage children of His own.Going to be a bit a log jam at the top there,unless we've seen sense by then and got rid of the whole pantomime.

I'm glad I've found this thread, I've got sick to the back teeth of being told being anti-Monarchy or even questioning the validity of it is somehow unpatriotic. I personally feel that you if you give a damn about ordinary British people you'd want the Monarchy given the boot without a second thought.

That we are expected to live in simpering servile acquiescence to these toffs should be viewed with the contempt it deserves, but- oh no- grab a flag, wave, cheer, smile... or else.

Sorry to be pedantic but the thread title isn't correct as she isn't a Princess (yet). She's a Duchess (of Cambridge).

she'll become a Princess when William becomes Prince of Wales.
