A's Video Converter is a nice little video transcoding program which makes use of AMD's VCE hardware encoding capabilities which are available in many newer AMD cards. (GCN 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2) It does a relatively good job of balancing size, speed and quality of files. The interface is very simple and quick to learn, encoder options aren't the most encompassing but all the crucial ones are there like b-frames, reference frames, profile etc. Comes with a nifty trimming timeline and cropping tools as well.

I find major geeks to be about the only 3rd party site I can download software without any crap being installed.
Cnet used to be safe but the last few years they suck too. So if I can't get it from the company or developer, I see the major.

Does anyone know of a working mac app for downloading these images?

I have been using ImageHostGrabber on Firefox for years but now Firefox code has exempted this app and it no longer works - on any platform.

Been trawling for a few weeks for an alternative but so far have had no luck

Any help would be much appreciated

Problem I had with Mac is a lot of freeware on windows is charged for on Apple. There is a few image rippers on itunes but none are free.

Unfortunately can't find a DL for the install anywhere [link above took me nowhere as did Mr Google].. I'd hate to loose it if I had a C drive crash.
