I think that is a good idea BUT it might be easier to wait for a while longer until everyone has had a chance to see it. However if someone wants to do a thread, I don't mind contributing although it won't last forever.

Might be better to start a Spoiler warned thread. Even after a month or a year there are going to be people who will cry "SPOILER!" and raise a ruckus if there isn't a heads-up.

Did anyone see the longer version of Have Got News For You? with Sir Roger Moore last night? He looked so old, but he still had a gleam in his eye and told a good story about Herve Villachaise(Nick Nack-TMWTGGun) but at times looked a little confused. Good gag about a pen that accidentally shoots someone in the audience, but best comment was one of the comedians saying "Funny how Sean Connery is so pro-Scotland and yet he spends his time living in Spain!" Mind you Sir Roger three times shamelessly plugged his new book-worth a watch though. See it at www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer

Now this is a good thing seeing as Christmas is coming which reminds me of the quip that Roger Moore says after firing a dart into one of M's paintings...
"Oh thank you 007!" "Must get them in the shops for Christmas!" http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SD-Studios...61135157200%26

Here is advance notice of another concert coming up. James Bond 50th Anniversary concert is on next Friday 14th December on BBC4 and features all the main themes and other tunes, followed by the main themes as sung by the original artists like Dame Shirley Bassey, Sir Tom Jones etc. Before the concert however is the Omnibus which featured John Barry, shown in the Summer also on BBC4-don't forget, it's a Bond Friday. Oh yes, and if you're a fan of Roger Moore, some of his best films are to be shown on the Sky Christmas channel 303 from next week too.

Ever wondered what the PPK stood for in the Walther PPK gun that James Bond uses? Well here is a nice detailed page about it-I know I've wondered about it for a long time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walther_PP and no I haven't missed the K out, that is how the page has been called.
A real one

Don't forget the concert tonight BBC4 from 8.10 with John Barry documentary followed by the concert-if you miss it catch it on BBC Iplayer for the next week.
Did anyone catch Bring Me Morecambe and Wise this Wednesday? If you didn't you missed a very quick striptease from none other than Dame Judi Dench-in a sketch about Jekyll and Hyde(with Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise) she accidentally drinks her husband's concoction briefly going from a prim and proper woman to a full on vamp-it's brilliant so try to catch it on GOLD(Sky channel 110) 8.05pm tonight if you can-also an hour later on sky channel 133.

Just watched the 50th Anniversary James Bond concert and enjoyed it alot although I am not one for other people doing the classic songs let alone another orchestra attempting to play them but it was good. However, I have one bugbear, which I am going to point out to BBC4 shortly. Whilst listening to the tunes, they jumped back and forth after being in chronologicial order and for some inexplicable reason left out songs 'Tomorrow Never Dies' and 'All Time High(Octopussy) even though it was mentioned in order by Honor Blackman(christ, that woman has a sexy voice even now!) I have no idea why seeing as the concert was pretty long anyway. And then I watched ...Sings James Bond which had the original songs by the original artists except for All the Time In the World-ruined by Fun Loving Criminals & Ian McCullough(late of Echo and the Bunnymen) from 1997!! and Casino Royale & A Quantum of Solace wasn't played, but mysteriously had been covered before in the concert by Lance Ellington & Mary Carewe. Pretty strange.
Finally I now realise after all these years that the lyrics to the songs actually contain clues to the film from From Russia With Love to Skyfall and being a huge Bond aficianado I never cottoned on to that-you live and learn.

This is interesting Dame Judi Dench is known for her starring roles in some big films and also had a very short cameo role in Pirates of the Caribbean-On Stranger Tides but this has to be the strangest-a bag lady in a screen adaptation (of a classic stage farce) called 'Run For Your Wife' due out next year-and to think she was playing 'M' for years!!

What do you think the best Bond moment is? I can tell you that viewers of the Sky 007 channel had been voting and it was revealed that the No.1 moment of Bond is...from Goldfinger when Sean Connery is on the slab and about to be sliced down the middle lengthways when the villain Gert Frobe(voice dubbed) replies to his question "Do you expect me to talk?" "No Mr Bond, I expect you to DIE!" No.2 was the parachute jump from 'The Spy Who Loved Me' incidentally.
Additional: Dominic Cooper(actor) is to play Ian Fleming in a new 4pt drama series for Sky Atlantic channel later this year in a 'no holds barred' tale of the intelligence officer who created the world's best loved secret agent, James Bond and wrote Chitty, Chitty, Bang Bang for kids. More details to follow. Oh and one thing, apparently Fleming liked a bit of spanking and sometimes he and his women would get hurt-perhaps he was also a sado-masochist as well?
