It's banned filehost or imagehost.

qws is absolutely right

VEF Rules explain it:

Banned hosts, services and sites:

Be aware that several websites, link redirects, link protectors, file/image hosts and streaming content providers are banned from use at VEF. If posted, they will get automatically censored, making them look something like this: *******.com. When that happens then stop using them and remove the censored links from your post.

@Grantchstr

When you encounter such a post containing a censored link, just press the Quote button (without submitting reply afterwards), it will reveal the original content. Maybe you're lucky and the link is still alive.

No that wont work, if the word is censored it will be so even when using that function.
Also the number of *'s doesnt mean it replace all letters for example if google.com is a banned host it could output many formats:
disney.com , ***.com , ********.com et cetera it depends on who added the link to the black list.
You could use the last letters/numers (/cLCWQwzYl) in the link and search on google, it might give you some results. And will reveal the banned host.
Or google the same movie, it can be posted somewhere else with same links.

Seems you are correct, i do belive they have added the host in multiple way to prevent it from showing. If written other, it might show until you hit the reply button, becouse the output will look diffrent in forum view.

You're right, in a few cases the ******* is shown in WYSIWYG display mode, but the host name is not actually overwritten, and can be made visible in text mode. There is probably an Admin control to change this, but I do not know the inner workings of the system

Btw, the banned links above won't work any more because I have removed them, but your observation is still correct
