I like those little differences among cultures, Like this one



A lot of it shows up here on the forum in posts, especially in humor, That picture up there too me is funny but also truthful

My friend I understand what you mean,
but in the example you show,
I'm not sure whether it is due
a nationality, I think rather than
this is the result of education,
those who were a little too high
"treasure" will go file a complaint,
which leads to the judge that the other rule between men,
for me it is the experience that I have.

But i've never had a drink with Rambo
or Crocodile Dundee

American spellings of English always amuse me, and the odd use off nonexistent words, my pet hate is dove, which apparently means dived, I find it irritating when reading an American novel, half way through a sentence to find that 'he white bird' into the undergrowth!'. Tire, so you fit 'wearing out' on your cars! Just two examples

Even there there is a difference,

Rambo would blow a Croc up with enough explosives too sink a ship then get counseling

Mick Dundee would just kill it any old way and have a beer and forget about it

Languages change all the time. You should see some of the stuff I get from and send to my granddaughters - no translation machine I know could handle that

The difference Between Us and Them


England is small, wet, cool, green and has a lot of people crammed into a small amount of land. Australia is large, dry, hot and red and has fewer people spread out over a lot more land. England got invaded by the Romans a couple thousand years ago, Australia got invaded by the English a couple hundred years ago. England has no predators and few poisonous species, Australia has crocodiles, sharks, poisonous snakes, spiders, and jellyfish.

but i drink more than a beer
