If Philadelphia won more sports Championships. Would the city even exist nowadays?

Good for you. It's been 27 years and I'm still not over the Giants loss. Bill Simmons complained about having to watch the Tyree catch every January. I've had to watch the fucking ball go wide right for longer and you've got Super Bowl wins to console you.

Simple, the Patriots lost. The winners are the story.

Your guess is as good as mine in this case.

I have the Hall of Fame pin for every Bill enshrined in Canton, even O.J. I gotta get a TO pin.

Question

Well, one good thing about the refs not throwing a lot of flags is that we got to see a high-scoring game, and they were able to fit in all of those cash cow commercials.

These are some of the reasons that statistics isn't made a big deal of.

Nor should that loss hurt. After last year's win. Patties fans should be desensitised from SB winning euphoria. You think there's going to be a more remarkable win than that? Then sb42 loss is embarrassing after winning every freakin game that season. Aside, despite winning every game til then, it was as big an upset as the Pats beating the Rams. Idk how sb46 could hurt, NE were lucky to be in the game after Baltimore flopped like they were Atlanta.

On top of that. You've experienced as many SB wins, if not more, than the regular American fans here, most of which are of a mature age. It can't affect guys like vic, yourself and I, like it affects them.

505yds no big deal? I didn't see Cam do it.

As for not affecting non Americans, I wonder why you've been bellyaching about the Panthers two Super Bowl defeats ever since.

Tygerkhat. I understand your pain. I wanted the Bills to win all four of those games and, for me, the fourth one was the worst because the Bills really fought hard after the previous years shellacking.

I don't remember all the specific instances, but seem to recall consternation over at least one play call in a AFC title game to the Colts. I pretty sure Bill did something weird in at least one loss to the Broncos and there were play calling questions in the losses to the Giants. Of course, one of those Giants losses contained one of the most bizarre plays (the "helmet catch") in Super Bowl lore.

One scouting report I read prior to the game predicted that the Eagles offense would be "kryptonite" to the Patriots defense. "Spread them out and come back inside." What was really impressive about the Eagles was the way they just kept driving down the field and scoring on the Patriots. They would have scored more, but for a couple of mistakes. They needed to, because their defense wasn't having much luck in stopping Tom Brady & crew.

It made for a pleasing game that the referees did not inject themselves into the game much. My view was that these were two smart teams that avoided penalties. Calling the Eagles for a foul on Chris Hogan during the last play would have marred the game. When a team is down by 8 points and needs to complete a desperation long pass to tie, they need to somehow get a guy open. The ball was going to Gronk.

In the context of the way the game is played. The rules implemented on defences since. 505 yds is the equivalent of the 400 Warner threw. In isolation, That stat will be talked about when discussing Brady's career. If Newton threw that in sb50, the way that game was played, it would've been a bigger deal.

My post in the previous page is a poor attempt at humour. I have rational, broader prospective of both Panthers SB losses, accounting for my opinions of key calls made by the refs.

You can't deny that that a domestic football comp affects the locals more that foreign fans. For no other reason than I participate in Australian NFL forums, I know there are Australian Philadelphia fans. You think they're all gathering around down here damaging property and flipping cars over?

What do you think has a bigger affect on me. The Panthers winning the SB, or Carlton winning the AFL Grand Final?

Yet since Warner's 414yds in SB 34 no-one came anywhere near that apart from Warner himself in SB 42. Yet Brady threw for 466 last year and 505 this year. That isn't easier. It's phenomenal.

As for feeling defeat less. Stop watching the pootube videos where people pretend to film their live reactions while watching pre-recorded games.

We must have a group of criminals in every city who seize the opportunity of a victory celebration to fcuk up other people's lives. What's up with that? It is obvious that not all people understand that the most basic rule of life is "try not to be an asshole." It brings out the "I want to kill some m*therf**ker" instinct in me.

If only Tom Brady had been a Redskin, we would have won the last 15 Superbowls.

Probably not, the Redskins would have cut him in training camp and we would have likely never heard of him.
