No .. I remember the BBC making a Carry On Christmas special featuring Barbara Windsor as a schoolgirl sitting on Santa's knee in a department store. "You're making it hard for me", he says. It's Sid James, of course.

Talking of things not being made for TV nowadays.

I was watching a Benny Hill tribute program on TV the other day and they showed a short sketch.

It featured a girl tied to a red Indian totem pole, with her clothes all ripped and torn and showing a fair amount of flesh.

Benny Hill came walking on dressed as a cowboy.

"What's the problem" he asked

"Help" says the girl " I have just been ravaged by a dozen red Indians".

Benny Hill looks at her for a moment, and then begins to take his trousers off and says "Not your lucky day is it".

I must admit it rather shocked me, seeing it after all these years.

Times change and we do as well even if we don't realise it. That said its often about the quality of the presentation - Blazing Saddles is full of what is on the face of it outrageous
material but its done so well you laugh and don't mind that you laughed!

I think you will find that it was Thames Television that made those shows for ITV not the BBC.

ITV was always associated with the Carry-On franchise when it came to tv rights and showing on television.

Just like the James Bond films were always on ITV on Christmas Day back in the 70's and 80's.

Hi Gasman do you refer to the photo above of the single school girl in blazer skirt white shoes and socks with teacher sat behind in back ground?? She was 24 when the shoot took place. Am trying to find out which mag it was in.

Janie was 24 at the time and if anyone can tell me the mag or show more from the mag please
