 Christoph Ernst Friedrich Weyse was a lesser known Danish composer during the late Classical period into the early Romance period. He lived in Copenhagen his whole life. He is mainly known for his vocal compositions such as cantatas, but he also wrote 7 long symphonies, and numerous pieces for solo piano. My disc has just three of his symphonies.  Georg Christoph Wagenseil was an Austrian musician and composer during the late Baroque period into the Classical period. He lived in Vienna most of his life. Though not well known in the modern period he was a well known composer in his day. Both Joseph Haydn and Mozart were familiar with his works. When not composing he worked as a harpsichordist and organist. He composed a number of operas, symphonies, concertos , chamber pieces and works for the harpsichord.
