That's a pussycat to be really proud of. I particularly approve of you're naming him after Levrenty Beria.

And don`t have to stop on that, we have all kinds of mangos and blueberry-juices here in Finland with label "cider" in them, even dry apple ciders here are awful, when comparing to English ciders, now THAT`S a reason to be envious to Brits, you have best ciders!

People fighting like cats and dogs,
over, well.. cat's and dogs.
While I don't hate or even dislike cats, I must point out that my beloved Border Collie/Retriever cross (R.I.P.) used to come into my room and wake me up in the mornings before we'd go and milk cows, which she would have to herd. She was more of a pet and constant companion for sixteen years rather than just a working dog, so you may see where my bias lies. Ultimately it's all so subjective. My cats brought me two rats nicely dismembered for my dining pleasure, well from her POV anyway. Yep cats have diseases, what a surprise. So do dogs and all living organisms, here's a list of the crossover diseases between dogs and humans: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?...t=Search&ns0=1 And one of the quickest ways to spread disease is through fecal matter, not really an issue for cats, but even if you don't own a dog it's an issue because of their indiscriminate sanitary practices. I mean I've had to scrape it of my shoes and I don't own a dog, and I bet most on this forum have had to at some stage as well. Oh and cats clean themselves and don't think its really good fun to go roll in another dogs poo because it smells so good. On balance cats are the far cleaner creature. Cheers.

Have removed my own posts on subject and the couple which related to mine
Eeeek i tried to be lighthearted and shift the topic hopefully onto something else that`s all , but i should have known .Tell members what not to talk about and it`s guaranteed to be all they`ll then want to talk about
Guess nobodies cottoned on to the fact i`m finding this rolling discussion about pets a bit ill timed , sure i`ve complained about fouled pavements myself but never with the intention of it unfurling into anything major like a cats versus dogs scenario. Mainly as there`s already a couple of similar threads . Ok to be completely honest about the reasoning for my heavy handed (Some may even say Beria like ) post , it`s that my own cat is currently unwell and i`m worried about her. Plus i`m such a paranoid nut i`m also worried about the vet who`s done the surgery. As in did she do a proper job and was she the best person to even do the job ? , how the fack are we meant to know if these people are truly competent ?. Mind you i think the first doubt that entered my head was when this white coated woman felt the need to bring up the option of putting my cat down . Like what the hell ?, do you think a surgeon would say that if somebody wheeled in their granny for an operation ?. Who knows maybe if the child involved was going to have to foot a high bill they would ?, Christ the way this country is going maybe in a few years a lethal injection will become compulsory Anyway my point is talk freely about it if you wish fellow members , i just won`t join in that`s all (The unruly crowd goes wild with zealous joy )

Sorry to hear about you're moggy GS. Best wishes and I hope she recovers.
My post wasn't meant to rile up the members but just to point out some flaws in the argument. So its a rational discussion and shouldn't descend into flaming. Right?

Cheers for that Rfan Also touch wood so far the furball`s doing ok , actually think my added paranoia about her health was hyped up by a particularity negative friend of mine who popped round yesterday morning full of the woes that could still go wrong etc . Mean they say some people like to see that glass as half full or half empty right ?, well my friend is more concerned with it breaking and cutting a vital artery !. Anyway as i say so far so good , plus she`s a tough little critter . Has got a scar down her stomach now though ,and has to eat this weird extra soft food for awhile. Food that wouldn`t you know can only be sold by the Vet and at three times the price of a normal packet of feeline grub , gee what were the chances eh Now then i know my fellow members aren`t actually overly interested about mine or other peoples pets , because in some ways talking about them is as relevant to as talking about what dream you had last night (Heeeey maybe a new thread idea there huh ). Still i finally managed to get my camera back from the EX and so have celebrated by taking a few snaps of the costing me a kings ransom pain in the arse Seen here in my bedroom watching her favourite film genre the western This ones on More 4 right now " The man with the gun " Impossible to get her to pose so i gave up after six tries

National Homebuyer Man.Co.UK
In the wake of rising unemployment there will be a trail of mortgage foreclosures and repossessions. And so, as blowflies to a dead body, the parasites appear.
or, to put it another way: Its good to know that someone cares.
