Not long ago, I needed to dig up Sopranos reference for a VEF post and, so reminded of the show's excellence, was drawn into watching the series again. A scene popped up that made an impression upon first viewing, and now that I've run into it for the second time, wanted to share it with you.



Leslie Bega, born in 1967 with the birth name of Leslie Rae Bega, played the role of "Valentina La Paz" on the HBO television series as lead mobster Tony Soprano's girlfriend for seven episodes, from 2002 to 2004. Her character was a livewire, and has received plenty of attention. In the eighth episode of season 4, when she debuted, there was a lovemaking scene where big James Gandolfini lifted her up with one arm in not the most polite manner, which came across as pretty cool... playful, and yet dominant, not to mention manly. (I mentioned it anyway.)




There was a revealing moment on this fine show, the writing for which was top-notch. Leslie's character was alive, and thus so appealing. When first introduced, she plays a prank on the first gangster she was paired with, and when she strayed into Tony Soprano's arms, played a prank on him as well. Tony found this so invigorating, he decided to empty a class of cold water onto his wife, while she was taking a shower.



Mrs. Soprano got very upset, and while being reprimanded, Tony was reminded of how the attractive quality he so enjoyed in one woman was missing with his main one. Those of us who have experienced juggling different girlfriends, or even if we were with one girlfriend and started to miss what was so attractive about another from the past (upon the discovery of how the current one is lacking), could identify.

Remember that song with the lyric, "And if you can't be with the one you love, honey... Love the one you're with." Exactly who was the idiot who wrote that song? (It was Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills and Nash, damn it.)



I've decided against providing nude views of our lady from this episode (she has six more episodes to go, undoubtedly displaying her wares again, bless her), because I see Member "Gwhh" provided this service when he began this thread back in 2010 (Post #1, above), and Member "MVP" followed up with more in his Post #4 from 2013. I'm also delighted to see Member "Chromax" shed light on an earlier nude appearance by Leslie from 1991, in the last post.

(Only six posts on this thread for the last dozen years. Hey, this was a very sexy woman! She was even ranked as #67 in Stuff Magazine's "103 Sexiest Women" in 2003, and you know how everyone looks up to Stuff.)

I have a nude scene of Leslie's from another film that I'll cap off with, below. First, a brief look at some of Leslie's other screen accomplishments.



Member "Haunted" kindly provided a link in his third post from above to a YouTube video with the opening credits for Head of the Class, Leslie's breakthrough role, where she appeared for sixty-eight episodes between 1986 to 1990. (Her first screen role was from only two years ago, when she was seventeen.) The role is described in her IMDb bio as a "brilliant yet socially awkward" high schooler. It looks like Ms. Bega Begged for the attention of Brad Pitt back then, according to the photos below, which was a good indication of how special she was. (After all, we all know Brad Pitt is the "sexiest man alive.")

Leslie also appeared with a fellow she probably lost her head over when she was ten-years-old, if she saw him in Saturday Night Fever, and then Grease, John Travolta; the film was Get Shorty, (1995) and she was... humphh!.. uncredited. Second photo below, standing beside Patrick Dempsey, as Leslie appeared in Mobsters (1991).



This next shot is useful for those of us wishing to get an idea of how Leslie looks in recent years (this image was from a year-and-a-half ago, in 2021). Talking Sopranos is a podcast series hosted by two of the program's cast members, as also seen in the photo. The episode, which may be accessed here, offers the following description:



"Leslie is a fascinating woman who not only is an incredible actress, but an extremely successful real estate agent and accomplished chef. She tells us the story of her life, her career and how she ended up on the Sopranos. She also talks about how she got the role of Valentina, and what it took for her to give that character real personality. When Leslie was hired she knew there would be some nudity involved but things did get a bit more graphic then she expected. Over all it was an amazing experience and she has many fantastic stories to tell."

One may ascertain from her IMDb page that Leslie phased out of screen acting by 2008, when she was barely over forty; what a pity. (She returned in an uncredited cameo, in Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, from 2019.) Her professionally written IMDb bio (credited to her website, LeslieRaeBega.com; she's also a yoga expert) makes clear she made the decision to bow out from acting, since becoming a "commercial real estate broker," where she went on to establish "a formidable international clientele in both Commercial and Residential Real Estate." There is also the claim that she appeared on two real estate-based reality shows: Bravo's Million Dollar Listing, and HGTV's Selling LA. (These credits are so far absent from the "self" section of her IMDb page.)

So let's get to the enticing finish, with a nude scene that hasn't yet been featured on this thread, and from a movie that evidently not much is known about. Here's a Turkish-language poster (the film's IMDb page indicates Turkey may have been the sole nation where the film was perhaps theatrically released) for Time of Her Time (2000):



An amateur matador locates himself from Mexico to New York City's Greenwich Village in the late fifties, and news of his sexual prowess spreads to the point of his scoring with several ladies per week. Based on a short story by Norman Mailer (who felt his story was the forerunner of Lolita), the matador's new mark, a collegiate middle-class Jewish girl, has never had an orgasm, and the matador looks upon her as a challenge, while wishing to fulfill his idea of masculinity. Jessica plays the conquest. (Apparently, her character is supposed to be nineteen, although the actress was thirty-three. I think she was able to get away with it.)






EDIT:

I realize I wrote above that I was going to ixnay on the Sopranos nudity, but the next episode presented views that I don't recall coming across, and I couldn't resist; besides their probable rarity, the lady looked too scrumptious. Please try not to think of me as a liar.
