I dunno, but I'm loving it: inspection of the crew of the Gräfin Zeppelin, maybe?
On a more serious note: In daily life, what remains of the DDR? Is there anything you encounter day to day that would remind you of the former socialist regime? Or is it now just history? |

A few days ago I compared at the Brexit discussion the statements of Tony Blair with those of Gerhard Schroeder, it would lead to the opposite direction - because as nobody trusts them any more (because their journey into the Neo-Liberalism as a PM). They both are (for a very good reason) marked as liars.
For the foreigners explained: actually we Germans are having a discussion about the GroKo (= Big Coalition between the parties of CDU/CSU and the SPD) for a governmentally solution. So the SPD left it to their party-grassroots, to accept the coalition contract or not. Actually Germany only has a executive committee as a government. Now Gerhard Schroeder has been engaged in this coalition-discussion with an appeal at "the collective prudence of the engaged members", to vote for a "YES" in that ballot. One must melt this statement on ones tongue ! What do you think about ? Source: http://www.tagesschau.de/inland/schr...o-spd-101.html (in German)

Even if you don't like him, he's right, imho. You can do more when you're in power than when you're not. But the main point is that the country needs a government, and it's unlikely to get a better choice if it has another election. So go for it!
