I had this on VHS. She was diving into the water from a boat. The camera must have been a mile away. I could not tell of she had a flesh colored suit on to make her look nude or of she actually was. I would bet a flesh colored suit on. She never did nudity before and if it were and you could see anything it would not have been on prime time t.v.. If they ever put it out on DVD we would probably be able to tell on an HDTV.
I wouldn't spend a lot of time looking for it.

It was the 1st episode of 'One West Waikiki'. Prime time T.V. in the U.S. in 1994. I had it on VHS but the tape broke. Every once in a while I see it being sold on Ebay but trust me it is not worth the money or effort if you want it for the supposed quarter second nude scene that really isn't a nude scene.
When I had the tape I paused it at that scene and she appeared to have a flush color swimsuit on that was intended to make her appear nude.
I may be wrong about the swimsuit and she may have been nude but you cannot see anything. It was made for prime time T.V. before N.Y.P.D..

Cheryl did infact do that dive scene
and you can clearly see it's her face behind the scuba goggles
if you snapshot and enlarge. Same goes for Bert Convy.
(and, the top-deck dive scene with Cheryl back-rolling into
the sea)

There are a couple of Cutaway Scenes that are underwater face shots. Those don't look like they are Cheryl or Bert to me. Even if they are, those are head shots.

There is no shot of "Cheryl rolling back into the sea." There's a shot of Cheryl designed to appear like she is still sitting on the edge of the boat (I would guess she is no longer on the edge of the boat and that is why the camera angle was changed.) She puts on the SCUBA mask, grabs hold of an arm, then ACTS like she is rolling back off the boat by lifting up her legs and shifting her weight backwards.

I don't think there's any chance they would have used Cheryl in an underwater shoot. I'm happy to hear other opinions, or defer an expert, but that's not Cheryl and Bert underwater.

An industry magazine, "On Location," said shortly after the Loveboat shoot that Cheryl did have a body double for the underwater shots. Sorry. I have no idea where you would find that issue now, but it did have a couple of nice photos of Cheryl in the white bikini on deck behind the scenes. Incidentally, she did another scuba scene in a Season Five episode. I've seen no word on whether that scene was doubled.

I think the scene is from Angels on High. There is a vid cap in post 80. I remember seeing about a 5 second clip where someome went frame by frame faking the scene. They used photoshop to remove her bikini.

In her first episode she is supposed to be naked but she hides herself with some leafs. This is not faked or edited.

Good? Hi def captures of the Angels.

Bad? They've cropped out the bottom part of the original broadcasts to avoid the annoying stretching sometimes used in the conversion process. It seems a significant sacrifice for those who like to see everything possible.

This sequence is actually a good example of what gets lost. The camel toe's are cropped out from Jaclyn and Shelly.

Let's hope that if the day comes when CA gets released in HD that they haven't tossed out some of the most significant bits of TV history.

I took screen caps from the DVD set, from HDNet when they ran the Farrah only episodes and now Universal. HDNet comprised a bit. They kept more of the original but there were the bars on the sides. Universal wanted a 16x9 format to fit newer TV's. It is an HD station so it makes sense. Increasing the image from SD to HD didn't produce the same quality as something actually shot in HD but my caps are much better than those taken from my DVDs. If Sony ever puts out a Blu-Ray set I would perfer the original with the bars on the sides. I can see why Universal chose the format they did and it's a matter of preference.
Universal is also cutting footage to allow for more commercial. In the episode Target: Angels the whole sequence of Farrah coaching a youth basketball game is cut. HDNet had this scene.

Unfortunately it is all in French, with no subtitles, but you can check out 90s Cheryl Ladd in reasonable quality.

Thanks. I ended up watching the scene from Polish website. Very difficult to find but shot from boat is at a long distance. One weird mention on the IMDB entry. There is an uncredited Cheryl Ladd body double called Sally Davis. She was on Baywatch a few times. If you notice the picture, the naked swimmer has very red hair and so does Sally Davis (below). Cheryl's shots during the scenes are closeups of her face. Clearly, the boat jumper has blonde hair like Cheryl. Guessing that Cheryl did jump into the water but body double did the backshot nude swimming scenes around the reefs.

I once had a fairly good vhs copy of the episode. When zooming in I was certain she was wearing a skin colored body suit when she jumped off the boat.
