My identification seems to be corroborated by
this scan of contents for this mag, who I.D.'s the cover model as "Gail"


Gail was a very high profile Page 3 model with many covers to her credit. This is, by no means, a


comprehensive collection of her covers. These are just the first dozen good examples that I came
across while rummaging through my archives. Much of Gail's portfolio could use an upgrade.
That's what's great about VEF: fresh scans and new sets can appear out of nowhere.


This may be my favourite cover of hers
as I love big bums and cut-off jean shorts.


I discovered Gail through

me a total devotee of hers.

Tink old chap, I felt exactly the same about this mag, and it still gives me goosebumps today as it feeds a lot of my visual triggers. I never really knew why at the time, but having developed a better feel for what I like and why it comes down to that intoxicating combination of Gail's sweet face, the extremely well-fitting one-piece that provides the perfect flash of upper thigh, and the gusset seam at the back - for me, the absolute clincher.

I remember it very, very well... I got hold of the mag in July 1990, just around the time of the World Cup final.

When I got around to opening the cover however I remained captivated by sweet blonde Michaela in the prettiest white lingerie; she had the most delectable pussy, and I must have knocked out a good two dozen loads over that photoset during the month waiting for the next issue. Of course, Ginny was there as well.

I will eventually get around to scanning the photos - for my new up and coming Mag Archive website - but Michaela also appeared the following month in the US version of Club, Vol. 14 No. 9. She probably has a thread on here, but for the life of me I can't remember her other aliases to do a proper search.

This issue is one of my all time faves - love "Stevies" set,and the lovely Samantha Taylor posing as "Claire" is the centrefold.
Top stuff indeed,they really don't make the like this anymore unfortunately

Looking for an AP cover shot to illustrate this post reminds me of another favourite girl whose presence on a magazine cover usually caught my eye- Debee Ashby. I'm pretty much the same age as Debee give or take a few months, so her early teenage appearances in Men Only coincided almost exactly with the beginning of my regular top-shelf mag buying, and Debs on the cover usually meant my hand would be in my pocket pretty quickly- as much to adjust myself and try to hide the sudden stiffy as to find the money for the mag, and I never really lost the Ashby habit- Pretty sure I had all three of these from later in her career...



There was one well-known Debee cover that got away though- mainly because I'm pretty certain from memory that Cheri wasn't a title stocked by my regular corner newsie when I was at uni, and I'm sure if it was, it's certainly not one I'd have missed.

As we all know, Debs made tabloid headlines at the start of her career by not only stripping off for Men Only while she was still at school (and getting expelled for it), but posing topless together with her mother, Anne. When mum and daughter repeated this a few years later in a full shoot for the June '88 issue of Cheri, I'm sure that if I'd seen that cover on my local top shelf, there's no way I'd have left the shop without a copy...



Debee, as always, looked lovely, and her mum was a real cracker of a blonde MILF with a pair of tits almost as nice as her daughter's - and as I'd had an eye for the appeal of the more mature lady since my teens (an epic crush on one of my mum's friends when I was about 16, and a sixth-form girlfriend at 18 whose mum was an absolute knockout come to mind...) that cover shot would have been totally irresistible for me - and the full photoset doesn't disappoint either, other than Anne keeping her knickers on...

Oooh, Claire Cass. I had a copy of Mayfair which featured her as an art student, and I was besotted with her set. Some great shots of her ass and at the time some rare to find shots of her asshole (which I think had only recently been allowed to be shown so explicitly). The set is around here somewhere I think. Great magazine that one, but I can't remember the issue.

Anyone else here remember looking up at the top shelf before you could buy them and trying to suppress a hard-on only to let loose once home? Many times that was me. Loved it.

Sadly, I don't have the magazine any more: it was thrown out in one of the periodic porn purges I used to have in the 1980s and 90s...... but I do remember being more than taken by this cover for the Christmas edition of Razzle back in 1993 (I think). In fact, if the fast-failing memory serves me well, I actually bought this one on Christmas Eve as a little present to myself!
