How To Record Videos From Website

I recently joined a website in which even after joining you can only watch the videos online. In order to download them you must pay an extra fee. Which is very disappointing.

Now I know there must be a way to download the videos as I've seen several of them available here. I was hoping someone might know how to do this.

Does anyone know?

I use orbitdownloader it really picks up all what others miss out on.

I use Firefox and Video DownloadHelper for this kind of thing.

Without knowing the specific website I can't guarantee it would work though. You can't get, for example, iPlayer stuff with it.

In Firefox I use Flash Video Downloader, it catches most stuff successfully.

Video DownloadHelper won't, I just tried it on a free trailer. I'd be interested to see what does.

Of course it's always possible that the films you've seen here were paid for at some point.

Thanks Mr. InBetween. There has to be a way it seems nothing works. It's really annoying to pay for something that you cannot own.

Maybe someone knows how or will come up with a solution.

I think you might have to join other forums that somebody else has solved this problem

and posts them - I dont know the models you choose, but there are other forums that

have that threads dedicated to that site.

My experience, there is a big problem with terminology here. If a site only wants you to view, not download the file, you are trying to "save" what you see, as you see it. There is no faster way to do it unless you hack the site.
But this is not what "download" means in computer-speak. You will have 10,000 sources offering you way to "download" and not one does what you want.

It seems should be doable, but I am not a tech, and there could be problems of code embedded in the file.
I am not into video but had = problem with an audio site, never solved. So I will be interested if any expert ideas.
