Unusually I stumbled across the upshot of all of this (full story on the original post) and some more pics ..... West alleged she was arrested in violation of her rights while being painted by artist Andy Golub and she filed in federal court in Manhattan. Her Legal weasel said that West never should have been arrested, and that public nudity is legal in the city if it's part of a performance, exhibition or show.

Apparently, this was true .... and the city settled with the model for the reported princely sum of $15,000 according to the 'The New York Post' .... West says she has no regrets. The city's Law Department declined to comment, but she says the episode put her "on the map in a positive way." ... a bit like these pics

Gia Sapp-Hernandez from Newark, Delaware, is apparently an african latino 'reality' TV star .... which is probably all you need to know, but as this thread leaves no stone unturned in its hunt for the minor or forgotten (but always disgraced) celebs, here's some more. She seeped to fame in the Oxygen reality television series, 'The Bad Girls Club', where she was amongst the original cast of season 8 in 2012. The shows premise is that we will all watch in admiration, while girls who maybe had little control over themselves in the first place, succumb to their worst behaviour traits.

In each season of the 'Bad Girls Club', one or more girls will be asked to leave the house either from violence, physical fighting, or will leave on their own accord, which then gives the producers a chance at a new "bad girl" who arrives to the house in a day or two to replace the fellow bad girl .... Gabi voluntarily left the house in episode 10 after a physical altercation with some of the other jail dodgers.

Her persona is as "The Scandalous Schoolgirl" .... which maybe helps explain her behaviour (or maybe not).

Her behaviour on the TV show has been extreme since the first episode of the show, when she got deliriously drunk and vomited all over one of her roommates, causing a fight between the two. Later that night, she attacked another roommate in her drunken stupor.

In a later episode, she met a 'potential suitor' in the the house. But when he arrived, she was seen stumbling drunkenly around the house partially exposed, she then stripped naked, and proceeded to climb on his shoulders. Eventually, he announced that he was leaving, and she tried to choke him .....

Outside the show she was arrested for assault after brawling with a group of men outside a Columbia, South Carolina night club. Witnesses told police that an argument started outside the club and fighting ensued with our heroine at the heart of the action ... the reality TV star was seen fighting with multiple men, including ones she had been partying with earlier that evening.

The diminutive battler, who stands all of 4’11″, more than held her own during the fracas. One man told the police that Sapp-Hernandez tried to take a huge bite out of his arm which left a nasty and large mark.

After the forces of law and order calmed down the fighting masses, they took witness statements and decided to take Sapp-Hernandez into custody. The petite-sized puncher was charged with assault and battery in the third degree. She was released later on a $2,130 bond.

Kenley Collins grew up in Pompano Beach, Florida, studied marketing at Florida State University and moved to New York to work in the fashion trade. Then she got a break and was chosen to appear on the fifth season of “Project Runway”and everything changed.

She came in third (or maybe fourth), but her whingeing and whining about any criticism she got from the panel of finale judges, combined with a generally bad attitude, earned her equal amounts of fans and those who were not quite so keen.

After the show was done, she moved in with her fiance Zak Penley, and set up her own clothes design company, but ....

In 2009, he called the police after claiming that Penley threw a laptop, a cat, an apple and some water at this sleeping, now 'ex', fiancé. When questioned later she said she was just trying to 'hand over the cat' to get Penley to feed him. But he said she’d told him he was 'lucky' and it 'could’ve been a lot worse'.

The New York Police Department confirmed that they had charged her with two counts of assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment after potentially striking a male in the head and face with a computer.

After two days in jail, Penley reemerged, saying jail had 'inspired her to move onwards and upwards' ..... noble sentiments indeed, and it seems that apple mac and pussy throwing have not damaged her (see what I did there?). As far as I can work these things out, she has become moderately successful and appeared in an all stars version of the show.

Alexandra Smothers, (b.Brandy Lizbeth Smothers) in Palo Alto, California made her TV breakthrough in 1996 with a bit part in the black comedy 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' as the 'girl with Beach Ball' ... it set the pattern, with another bit part in 'Mars Attacks'. Her listed career is mostly bits parts, TV movies and shorts .... but she's kept working in a spasmodic kinda way and her latest movie is 'Pizza with Bullets' in 2012. She also has produced some shorts, and acted on stage where she won raves for her portrayal of 'Blanche' in the Bare Bones Group Production of "A Streetcar Named Desire" in June 2002.

Police reported that in October 2012, the Glendale living Smothers was arrested after she allegedly purposely crashed not once, but three times, into the car of her estranged husband, who she claimed was stalking her. This after he reportedly drove past her house, and the 39-year-old actress got in her car and went looking for him. Police say she rammed her car into his driver’s side door three times, while he was in it. She tried for a fourth time but missed .... women drivers

Smothers was detained on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, which was her SUV, a Glendale Police Sgt was reported as saying. A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge released Smothers on her recognizance due an undisclosed medical condition. She’s expected back in court on the assault charge in December

Police reported that Smothers told officers that she wanted to get the attention of her soon-to-be ex-husband so he would “Stay the Fuck Away.” She told local press CBS2 and KCAL9 reporter Andrea Fujii, that she is 'scared of her ex', and that she only rammed his car on Tuesday evening to prove that he was stalking her. He has declined to comment on this story but a witnesses said that “I said [to him] ‘Are you okay? Are you okay?’ And he said ‘I was trying to get away from her.’ Who?, I said and he said, ‘It was my wife.’”

She was granted a restraining order against her estranged husband.

Louise Brooks b. Mary Louise Brooks was the daughter of rather distant parents. This led to her being sexually abused by a neighbour. When Brooks at last told her mother of the incident, many years later, her mother suggested that it must have been Louise's fault for "leading him on". She joined a dance troop aged 16 but eventually a long-simmering personal conflict between Brooks and fellow dancer Ruth St. Denis boiled over and St. Denis abruptly fired Brooks from the troupe in 1924.

Her friend Barbara Bennett (sister of Constance and Joan), found her work as a chorus girl in 'George White's Scandals', followed by an appearance as a featured dancer in the 1925 edition of the 'Ziegfeld Follies' on Broadway. In 1925 Paramount Pictures signed her to a five-year contract. Her screen debut was in the silent 'The Street of Forgotten Men', in an uncredited role, but soon she was playing the female lead in a number of silent light comedies and flapper films. She then graduated to vamp roles such as that in a 'A Girl in Every Port' in 1928, and was soon a star. She was a regular guest of William Randolph Hearst and his mistress, Marion Davies, at San Simeon.

But after being refused a raise by Paramount, she left for Europe in 1928 to make films for G. W. Pabst, the prominent Austrian Expressionist director, where she starred in a number of movies, and only returned fully to the US in 1931. But the unofficial 'black listing' prevented her from fully working, and her two movies were largely ignored. She turned down the female lead role in 'The Public Enemy' starring James Cagney in order to visit her then-lover George Preston Marshall in New York City .... Jean Harlow, took the role and used it as a vehicle to stardom. She later said she hated making pictures because she simply "hated Hollywood", and was "more interested in Marshall" ..... many biographers believe this decision killed her career.

For the rest of her 24 movie career, she was reduced to playing bit parts and roles in B pictures and short films. In fact a sign of her decline, was that one of her directors at this time was a fellow Hollywood outcast, Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, working under the pseudonym "William Goodrich". Brooks retired from the screen after completing one last film, the 1938 John Wayne western 'Overland Stage Raiders' in which she had a long hairstyle that rendered her all but unrecognizable from her "Lulu" days.

She then retired to her childhood town of Wichita, but after an unsuccessful attempt at operating a dance studio, she returned East and, after stints as both a gossip columnist and radio actor/commentator, she ended up working as a $40-a-week job salesgirl in a Saks Fifth Avenue department store in New York City for a few years, but later went on to write many witty and intelligent essays on the film industry. She authored a memoir, 'Lulu in Hollywood'.

On August 8, 1985, Brooks was found dead of a heart attack after suffering from arthritis and emphysema for many years. She was buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, New York.

While in Germany she starred in a number of adult themed movies, including one of the first on screen portrayals of a lesbian, and some rather frank treatments of 'modern' sexual mores. These films were allegedly heavily censored in some countries, because they were so open on these subjects.

In 1929, she was effectively blacklisted in Hollywood for a period, when after returning from Germany, she refused to go back to Paramount for sound retakes of 'The Canary Murder Case'. The studio hired actress Margaret Livingston to dub Brooks voice for the film. They claimed that Brooks' voice was unsuitable for sound pictures. She returned to Europe for another year.

Drinking and Drugs:

Brooks had also been a heavy drinker since age 14 .... this only increased as she got older but wasn't the reason her film career ended. She later grew rather fond of "little bottles filled with yellow sleeping pills".

Money Matters:

She was a notorious spendthrift for most of her life, filing for bankruptcy in 1932, but struggling financially for most of her life. According to biographies, William S. Paley provided a small monthly stipend to Brooks for the rest of her life, and according to the documentary this stipend kept her from committing suicide at one point.

Love:

In 1925, while she was still young ... Charlie Chaplin, had an affair with Brooks. Amongst her many lovers was a young William S. Paley, the founder of CBS.

She also had an on-again, off-again relationship with millionaire George Preston Marshall throughout the 1920's and 1930's (which she described as "abusive"), however when he found she had been seeing other men (and women), he then married film actress Corinne Griffith, instead of Brooks who he had previously asked several times.

Despite her two legal marriages, to director A. Edward Sutherland (1926–1928 - which ended because of her affair with George Preston Marshall), and millionaire Deering Davis (1933–1938 - She left him in March 1934 after only five months of marriage, "without a good-bye... and leaving only a note of her intentions" behind her), she never had children, referring to herself as "Barren Brooks". She allegedly considered marriages as a “common joke” and is rumoured to have entered into several 'illegal' marriages later in life ... but this is only one source.

She fostered a reputation as a bisexual lesbian, but in fact she mostly avoided female relationships. However she admitted to some lesbian dalliances, including a one-night affair with Greta Garbo, whom she later described 'as masculine, but a "charming and tender lover"'. She never considered herself lesbian or bisexual, "Out of curiosity, I had two affairs with girls – they did nothing for me".

She finally ended her days eking out a living as a courtesan/prostitute, with a few select wealthy men as clients ... "I found that the only well-paying career open to me, as an unsuccessful actress of thirty-six, was that of a call girl...and (I) began to flirt with the fancies related to little bottles filled with yellow sleeping pills".

Trivia:

• The childhood abuse "must have had a great deal to do with forming my attitude toward sexual pleasure....For me, nice, soft, easy men were never enough – there had to be an element of domination".
• The Denishawn modern dance company in Los Angeles included founders Ruth St. Denis, and Ted Shawn, as well as a young Martha Graham.
• When St. Denis abruptly fired Brooks he said that "I am dismissing you from the company because you want life handed to you on a silver salver".... in 1949 the title she gave to the tenth and final chapter of a planned autobiographical novel was "The Silver Salver".
• The boom microphone was invented for the Brooks film 'Beggars of Life' in 1928.
• Her distinctive bob haircut, which became eponymous, and is still recognized to this day, helped start a trend; many women styled their hair in imitation of her and fellow film star Colleen Moore.
• When she retired she began her first major writing project, an autobiographical novel called 'Naked on My Goat', a title taken from Goethe's Faust. After working on the novel for a number of years, she destroyed the manuscript by throwing it into an incinerator, which was a pity as she was in fact a fine writer.
• She considered herself to be sexually liberated, posing fully nude for "art" photography.
• She was chosen by 'Empire magazine' as one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in film history (#44).
• Celebrity spokesperson for Lux Toilet Soap in 1931.
• She was notorious for her 'salty language', which she apparently didn't hesitate to use whenever she felt like it .... this didn't help her career much.
• She was later 'rediscovered' by French critics who declared her German films to be masterpieces ('Pandora's Box', 'Diary of a Lost Girl', and 'Prix de Beauté (Miss Europe)'), and this led to a small revival in interest ... otherwise she may well have disappeared from history.

The start of this thread included Angelique Pettyjohn and you'll catch the connection further on. Grace Lee Whitney b. Mary Ann Chase in Ann Arbor, Michigan, was adopted into the Whitney family. When she left home, she began to call herself Lee Whitney, and eventually, she became known as Grace Lee Whitney, when she started as a "girl singer" on Detroit's WJR radio at the age of fourteen. In her late teens, she moved to Chicago and started to open in nightclubs for Billie Holiday and Buddy Rich, and toured with the Spike Jones and Fred Waring Bands .... in the 1960's and 1970's, she sang with a number of orchestras and bands, and later tried to cash in on trekkie fervour with the 1976 classic 'Disco Trekkin’ (A side) and 'Star Child' (B side) .... she tried again with 'Yeoman Rand Sings!' in 1999.

She made her television debut in 'Cowboy G-Men in 1953' and went on to appear in over 100 TV episodes on various shows that included 'Wagon Train', 'Gunsmoke', 'Bat Masterson', 'The Rifleman', '77 Sunset Strip', and 'Bewitched'. She also had a threatre career where she debuted on Broadway in 'Top Banana' starring Phil Silvers .... she also had rbroken into the movies when in 1959 she was cast as a member of the all-female band in 'Some Like It Hot'.

She was never a star in any of these vehicles, and in the movies especially she was often uncredited, but it was in 1966 that she got her big break (or rather what turned out to be a break, it wasn't so clear cut at the time), when she was cast as 'Yeoman Janice Rand', the personal assistant to 'Captain James T. Kirk', in STARTREK, where she appeared in eight of the first thirteen episodes.

Years later DeForest Kelley (Bones) saw that she was on the unemployment line and told her that 'Trekkies' had been asking for her at fan conventions. She returned to the 'Star Trek' franchise when she reprised her role as 'Janice Rand' (who had received a promotion to Chief Petty Officer (CPO), in 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture' in 1979. She was in the following three Star Trek movies .... she also got work in Voyager, and some Internet only productions. In all her TV and Movie career covers over 73 episodes.

She had to use a diet of pills to stay thin enough for the show .... "I was on diet pills trying to stay thin – and I was very thin. They wanted you to fit into the uniforms and I couldn't quite so I went on amphetamines' ..... a problem she didn't conquer until later in life. Her biography "The Longest Trek: My Tour of the Galaxy", details her struggle with both substance dependence (particularly marijuana), and alcohol abuse, which started when she was 15, after her boyfriend knocked up her friend - she actually moved to Chicago as the legal drinking age was 18 (it was 21 in Detroit). "It was alcoholism, of course, but I didn't know that for another 20 years" ... she had bouts of depression after losing the 'trek' role.

She claimed that while still under contract to Star Trek, she was sexually assaulted by an executive associated with the series, and she details the assault in her book 'The Longest Trek' but has refused to name the executive.

She was released from contract after just eight shows, she said that there were two blondes and one coloured girl in the cast .... the coloured girl couldn't go for various reasons, the other blond was engaged to the boss .... Kirk needed rotating love interests, so she was sacked. "I just about killed myself. I drank, that's what we do, we drink to get rid of pain. I was really mad. My God, was I bitter!" .... some commentators suggest it was her drink issues that cost her the role.

Finally, the web is full of allegations (not actually proven to my knowledge), that she drifted to the brink of prostitution through her drinking. The source of this is said by some sites to be William Shatner's 'Star Trek memories', in which he's alleged to have mentioned this episode, but I have not seen the quote. So perhaps the kindest of version of these tales is that allegedly, 'one afternoon in 1981, she found herself in bed with a stranger in a 24-hour 'motel'. "I looked at myself with this albatross lying next to me in bed," she recalled. When the man slapped $15 on the dresser, she had a revelation. "I said to myself, 'What are you doing here? What are you doing here?'" .... although this version appears on many sites, I haven't been able to verify the quote .... in any event being in bed with a man who mistakenly offers to pay afterwards, doesn't make it prostitution, more like bad choice of man - unless it keeps happening

This is just a filler as I haven't had time this week to post the last of the backlog posts .... so I present Celestina Tiew, who is a rather minor Singaporean model, so in many ways perfect for one of my final posts.

Her claim to fame is that she was the winner of 2009's 'FHM Girl Next Door' contest, where she won $800 cash and the opportunity to be the cover girl for the July 2009 issue. She has been modelling and blogging since 2008 and has been featured in many newspaper print ads and television commercials in Singapore where she lives. But then she became the subject of the local (and other Chinese) newspapers and television programs ......

In January 2012 she was arrested with two other suspects (believed to be her boyfriend and another mutual male friend). Her silliness was at the bad end as these things go ... It was reported that three packets of the drugs Ice and Ecstasy as well as $7,000 cash were found in a black BMW car during a routine police stop. Upon inspection of the car and discovery of the drugs and cash, Celestina and the two male suspects were arrested.

In a statement to a local newspaper, Celestina said that her male friend was driving her home when he stopped briefly at a Dakota Crescent car park to meet his friend. Just after leaving the car park, they were stopped by the police before Celestina's friend was 'flustered' and' struggled with the policemen' (aka resisted arrest).

If found guilty of drug use, she faced a possible sentence of up to a maximum of 10 years in jail, and a maximum fine of $20,000 or both. The reports say that she failed (or rather tested positive for drugs in) her urine test, although she stated that she was still awaiting the results ... she was released on $5,000 bail whilst police investigated.

"I'm having a really hard time here. I just got released today and I saw the news... now my career is ruined." .... sadly I can't confirm the result of all this .... ho hum.

Gabriela Alexandra Fernández Ocando, who was born in Maracaibo, who won the Miss Zulia 2008 title in a state pageant held in Maracaibo. She went on to compete in the Miss Venezuela contest finals in 2008, when she was aged 22. She has since modelled in South America, and even did a Pl*yboy spread in 2010 which bought her some press attention ..... she is a mother of one.

But with beauty, comes the rich 'friends', and in that part of the world, that can spell trouble with a capital 'T'.

Picking unwisely in friendships is a pitfall many pretty little things fail to avoid. This is especially true when your friends are associated in 'business' with one Daniel Barrera. You may be more familier with him as Daniel 'El Loco' Barrera .... The notorious and then 'Fugitive', Colombian Drug Lord

Nicknamed 'the Crazy One' for his sudden violent changes of mood, 'El Loco' was Colombia's most wanted drug trafficker (with a reward of $2.7 million for his captue), before he was arrested by Venezuelan authorities in a public phonebox in the city of San Cristobal in September. The operation was carried out with the help of British and US intelligence agencies (Yeah, for the Brits and Yanks ).

Well, as these things always do, it turned out badly for our heroine, when she was arrested on September the 30th, while attempting to flee to the Andean state of Mérida together with two Colombian men, and two other Venezuelan girls, all of whom allegedly helped El Loco "evade authorities" during his 20 years at large. They were charged with “money laundering and conspiracy”, and according to Venezuelan prosecutors, Fernández Ocando also took care of Barrera's numerous luxury properties around the country.

"These people have served as Daniel Barrera's partners, allegedly helping his movements across the nation as well as booking hotels for him so that the drug trafficker could evade authorities," Venezuelan prosecutors said.

The future looks bleak for Ms Ocando

Henriette Margaret 'Henny' Hiebel aka "La Jana" born in Mauer, now part of Vienna, Austria, but brought up in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She trained as a dancer at the Frankfurt Opera Ballet and that's where she first appeared on stage, at the age of 8, but later she became a dancer in cabaret revues.

It was allegedly while dancing in the 'Chat Noir' cabaret in Paris that she was spotted by a Hungarian / Austrian film director and screenwriter who described her as having "a boyish build: slim hips, practically just the suggestion of a bust". However such was the myth that developed around her, that two other versions of her rise to fame are described by biographers .... either she was discovered in the 'Weinklause cabaret' in Frankfurt, or, that at a day's notice, she replaced the ailing star of a revue in Dresden ... in any event, she arrived in Berlin, still known as Henny Hiebel, but ready for action so to speak.

She continued to dance, and appeared as a dancer in revues in Berlin, Stockholm and London in the early 1930's amongst many European cities .... this included for impresario 'Max Reinhardt', and then her role in the film 'Truxa' released in 1937 (by which time she was known as 'La Jana'), was a huge success in Germany, and she became a 'star'. She appeared in all sorts of films, but including many 'Nazi musicals' (spring time for hitler and germany anyone?), where she was the top dance and musical star in German cinema.

Her 24 film career was only ended when in February 1940, she fell ill with bilateral pneumonia, contracted while touring and entertaining the troops. She died on 13 March 1940 in Wilmersdorf'

Not So Private Moments:

As is common for many of the ladies here, she had a fair few Oops moments ....

• She became engaged to Actor 'Ulrich Bettac' in 1926 and rather daringly moved in with him .... but they split up a few years later without marrying.
• She shocked German society, by appearing 'semi-naked on a silver platter' to the audience, in a performance of 'Casanova'.
• She took German Crown Prince Wilhelm as her lover, and he visited her regularly at her villa in Grunewald .... She became the subject of the gossip in Berlin.
• There were also rumours of a love affair between her and Reich Minister 'Joseph Goebbels' .... super .... and according to the impresario Charles B. Cochran, she reportedly, 'was often seen in the company' of one Adolf Hitler.
• And finally that 'boyish body' attracted the attentions of Charlie Chaplin .... they had an affair which he wrote about for the 'Women's Home Companion', although obviously omitting the rude bits.

Trivia:

• Her grave site was later 'cleared' but was rededicated on 25 September 1990, with her head stone returned from the Heimatmuseum where it had been stored.
• Henny's older sister, Anny, later trained as an opera singer.
• She travelled to India with director Richard Eichberg, and millions of German fans saw the films she made there, 'Der Tiger von Eschnapur' and 'Das indische Grabmal'.

Genevieve Sabourin was born in Montreal Quebec in Canada. Her fame is limited to playing minor supporting roles in six smaller films and occasional TV roles as well as commercials and newspaper advertisements. Perhaps her most well known film association was with the Eddie Murphy flop, 'The Adventures of Pluto Nash' in 2002, for which she was the unit publicist ... And such might have been the summit of her notoriety but for ....

She developed a 'fatal attraction' type affection for the Actor Alec Baldwin after meeting him on the set of the 'The Adventures of Pluto Nash' ... she claimed via a lawyer that they had had an affair lasting two years. When it ended she then continued to send him a large number of SMS texts and emails (including ten emails on a single day alone in March).

Baldwin alleged that Sabourin wrote in one email: 'I should call the FBI and tell the FBI that tomorrow the defendant would be in front of my office building, my apartment building, the place of employment of my then fiancée (current wife Hilaria Thomas) and several other places where I often go.'

He also stated that another was entitled "Defcon 1", in which Sabourin is said to have used words or substance to indicate that she was going to start a "massive destructive war" with him. She also said that she would find him no matter what it cost her. She then added that he 'could call the FBI and have her put in jail, or [he] could call her and speak to her,' and that 'if [he] did not have an conversation with her it would mean "war" and that she was "ready for it".

But when perhaps understandably this didn't rekindle whatever emotions in Mr Baldwin that she hoped for, she then started turning up at various locations that he frequented. This included visits to his house in the Hamptons, where she was apparently demanding that he should leave his fiancée and marry her .....

She was eventually arrested in April 2012, for incidents outside New York's Lincoln Center where Baldwin had delivered a speech. Then again in April at the 'Eldorado' where Baldwin has an apartment, she was finally arrested, and after a night in the cells she was charged with stalking. The judge set the trial date on May 14, 2012, and dismissed Sabourin without setting bail, but imposed an injunction against not to approach Baldwin. It eventually came to court in July, where the injunction was confirmed.

However it appears that the embers still smoulder in the Canadian heart, and this week she was taken to a Manhattan Court house, and arrested on Tuesday the 27th of November, after it was revealed she broke that agreement and had been tweeting angry comments about Baldwin and his now wife .... this broke the terms of her injunction. Her woes increased when reportedly her legal weasel quite for non payment of fees ..... she might be in le merde
