I was happy to locate another June Palmer short movie, and then astonished to find no presence of it on VEF.

According to a Kamera Club post in November 2013:

• John W made the short movie "Triangle" at June and Arthur Howell's house in South London in the summer of 1978 for entry into competition of film clubs.
• John W also appears in the film.

The image below that appears on her wikipedia page is a still from this movie:

The movie has a classical soundtrack, but no dialog. The piece is familiar but I cannot recall its title.

What's the "D" mean? "D" for "Dame" -- info courtesy of wikipedia:

The queen is a playing card with a picture of a queen on it. In many European languages, the king and queen begin with the same letter so the latter is often called dame (lady) or variations thereof.

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
June Palmer was perhaps the most celebrated British figure model of all time, and the longevity of her career almost certainly makes her the most photographed nude in history. She began by doing cheesecake work for a local camera club. When asked how she got into nudes, she said "One night they asked me to take everything off and I just did it." (PH) Her precise age at this time is unknown. What is known however, is that she began modelling professionally for Harrison Marks while she was still 17 and that HM very nearly decided not to use her. He said that she giggled so much through the test shoots that he found her almost impossible to work with. (PH) Fortunately, perseverance prevailed, and the team of HM/JP became one of the most successful in all glamour photography. According to Fiesta magazine, the partnership was not confined to business, and the two "almost married". The engagement evidently fell through, and she later married another of her photographers, Arthur Howell.

June retired from full time modelling in 1970 at the age of 30. By this time she had become a successful model agent and was running Strobe Studios with AH. However, she continued modelling for amateurs for another ten years, at Studio Scotlee as well as Strobe. She averaged about 3 shoots a week during this period (MO) and did one professional set for Mayfair magazine when aged 36. Her marathon career was motivated in no small measure by personal satisfaction. Anyone who photographed her will testify to her professionalism and dedication, and to the fact that June loved doing nude work.

PERSONAL NOTE: June's sad and untimely death on the 5th January 2004 touched more people than she could have imagined. So many tributes poured into my 60sglam set of Yahoo groups, testament to the effect she had on those who had seen, met or photographed her. It is hoped that, in some small way, we can continue to celebrate her life - RT.

UNVERIFIED INFORMATION
June is rumoured to have worked as a dancer at London's Windmill Theatre (MG. Beau 1965). This is unlikely, as she would not have satisfied their height requirements. It is possible however, that she might have been part of a nude posing pageant there.
