What are retired Page 3 Models, Pornstars, Glamour Models doing now?

Samantha Fox is probably the best known of the Page 3 girls, she had her music career for a time and I think she still does music over in Europe. She's since admitted to being a lesbian (or at least Bi) and fired her manager (who was also her Father) when discovered he'd not only embezzzled money from her but fathered a child with his mistress.

I daresay most just merge into society, do ordinary jobs or become housewives and mothers, etc.

Being a model is a naturally young woman thing; any career based on physical otpimum, such as sports, is the same. A woman's looks start declining after the mid 20s and for most it's pretty much over by the late 30s. That's just biology.

Hence, I don't really want the glamour girls of yesteryear to make comebacks, and frankly I sometimes find it a bit depressing looking through a thread here where a model has carried on past her best years. It can be a bit like a footballer who once was a star player for England, ending up at Grimthorpe Athletic, or something.

Some models do have an "Indian Summer". Chole Vevrier improved enormously after she got free of Score's routinely diabolically awful photography, put on a little weight and looked ten times healthier and happier as a consequence. But for most women, glamour modelling is a career that only lasts into the twenties, and should stay that way.

Getting old is a curse. I am one of those optimistic futurists who hopes that biotechnology will end this curse for humanity fairly soon. But for now, it's the reality we have to live with, and sexual attractiveness is strongly bound to youthfulness.

So when I look at a fondly remembered model from the 80s (say), I hope she went on to a happy life after her modelling career ended. But I've no desire to see her naked again, 20 or 30 years on. You can't turn the clock back, as the saying goes.

I spent some time with Jo Guest around 2005 and she was great fun to be with. Unfortunately she has been ill in recent times but I hope she recovers so we can see her back on the scene.

Some of course don't retire and won't grow old gracefully. Linsey Dawn McKenzie is still getting em out on various satellite stations for late night phone-ins as is Charmaine Sinclair, and while she still has the body, I can't help thinking that she should leave it to the younger models and retire. Linsey's body has never been same since she had her boobs reduced and they look uneven now. Still, she and Charmaine have a big following so presumably once a model, always a model-age shall not weary them-well not yet anyway.

It seems you can take these girls out of the industry but you can't take the industry out of the girl. Maybe the money is too good to pass up or an exhibitionist streak in them needs to be expressed. Either way, I hope Maria Whittaker can get her life back together-and what better way than reminding us of those fabulous boobs?

Did Donna Ewin ever resurface??? She's one of my fave models, I'd hack a limb off for her to do some sort of comeback!

Kirsten Imrie (now calling herself Kirsten FiFi Imrie) won a business start up award in 2012 called E=MC2 for a dog walking business she runs in SE London. There is a video on You Tube where she says she's '45' in 2012.
