Just for sport ( I have no particular interest in the file in question ) I clicked on the 1fichier hyperlink in gnewellperv's posting and then on "Download File".
It's currently flying down the wire to my PC at around 100 Mb/minute, all for free. No pop-ups, no ads, nada. Windows 10 64 bit, Windows Defender, AdBlock Latitude, Pale Moon 28.1.0.... |

Warning ! Files hosted on 1fichier.com are deleted after 15 days without downloads for unregistered users and after 30 days without downloads for registered users.
I registered with them and still cannot download any files. When I click on "Download"" IT RESETS TO THE BEGINNING. |

A little bit over the top here I think... all you got is, at worst, two new windows when you click the download link. Just close them before they load, it isn't the end of the world.
They are always the best file service arround if you don't want to subscribe to a service... no way I'll complain for a couple of pop-up when I got a 1.2 Mo/s speed, sure better than waiting 2 hours+ on Deposit File. |

Firefox lets me see my account fine, but won't let me download. If you look back through this thread you will see the various workarounds. I use opera just for 1fichier downloads, recommended earlier in this thread. it works fine, a pain to have to, but it works! |

I don't understand why Filefactory is now banned here, but 1Fichier is still allowed despite doing the same crap.
I managed to get slightly faster downloads by registering as an non-paying member at Filefactory, but with 1Fichier it's either pay for faster downloads or have millions of malware thrown at you (where the downloads still won't work). |

For example, it makes a lot of sense for Model ID Requests to have a limit on # of requests per day, and not to allow requests from members with less than 150 thanks. Each request means real work for the section, and they have limited resources But where I work in Classic Models, the same limits make no sense at all. They don't tax our resources, so we don't have those limits There are countless other examples, but I hope this answers your question |

Different sections have different requirements depending on the material that is being posted.
Forum wide rules address common requirements that apply to all sections of large forums such as VEF but do not address specific requirements for each section. It is not uncommon to have customized rules in a section that has different requirements that need to be met for a specific section.
