The other night mrs Sydney wuz on t'internet so I ended up watching B.B.C.2. Razorlight were performing, I know.. I should have just turned over, but I didn't and had his whining voice going over and over in my head the next morning. The horror, the horror.

Horror indeed, Razorlight have just been live on 'Later Live with Jools Holland who still persists in that shouty presentation style. I see what you mean, he really should let someone else step up to the microphone. Whiny and horrible. Uh fcuk, here they come again. He is sh1te. Time to turn off get the 12 year old Glenfiddich out and kick back in silence.

Grace Jones is on too, strange looking boat race but still got that body. She is ending the show with 'Slave to the Rythm'.

Its always interesting to see peoples tastes, or what some may see as a lack of. My personal dislikes are mostly toward the ego maniacs that have convinced themselves that they are on higher plain of existence from the rest of us mortals. The pop idols that are more interested in the "show" than the music. I equaly despise the fans of such. The rock star that tries to make us believe he's done something magical only by changing cords. The costumes, my God the hideous, rediculous costumes. The rapper that MUST repeat "MF" and "know what I'm sayin" in every other line and the mental midget that needs to play it at a deafening volume just outside my apartment while cleaning his/her car. The nasaly alternative/whiner rockers. The country bands that HAVE to write a "redneck" song and the ones claiming to be cowboys that have never sat on a horse or seen any part of a cow that wasnt served with a baked potato or fries.

So this wont be entirely negative, I must say I'm a huge fan of guys like Clapton. A multimegastar that doesnt seem to have a pretenteous bone in his body, relishes collaborations, helps newcomers and remembers his humble beginnings. The new Jazz community is much the same. Just yesterday I watched some "making of" vids of Brian Culbertsons new album. He assembled a different band for every song, feeding on all the input from his guests because he wanted the music to be the best it could be. This is how it should be. All the egomania can go out the window.

Does anyone remember P.J Proby? That warbling throat muscle. Every time I watched T.O.T.P.'s, in the sixties I hoped there would be someone in the audience to slit it! Sadly there wasn't.

Scouting for Girls.

This has to be the worst pop rock group ever formed. Its like having my knob sanded with coarse sandpaper. I actually threw a mug at my radio when the latest track came on i hated them that much (i was already pissed off at the time the SFG track didnt help at all)

They are the musical equivalent of a good knee to the bollocks and all need to be shot to purify the musical gene pool.

Thumbs down

A new one has just sprung to mind, it's a particularly annoying piece of shite, sung by a grade-A dimwit: "I kissed a girl", by Katy Perry.

The video's appalling as well, while she's sort of writhing around and 'trying to be dead sexy and all that', she's sporting some sort of basque-type top thing with the suspender's hanging down over fishnet tights!!! It looks f******g stupid to say the least.

Shit song, shit performer, and shit outfit.

Oh... and Van Morrison's a tosser as well. Never liked his music.
