Adult comedy Episodes started yesterday on BBC2 and to say one scene was controversial would be an understatement but there is more to come.

Been very much enjoying The Repair Shop on BBC2 (recorded each programme) where a group of experts repair, mend and restore family heirlooms, toys, furniture etc. The main 'presenter' is Jay Blades who came to fame in recycling show Money For Nothing. These people are nothing short of geniuses. Repeat of first series next Monday 6.30pm.

The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band is kind of a "lost" movie musical with songs by the Sherman Brothers and nice performances by John Davidson, Walter Brennan, Buddy Ebsen and many others.
Just watched One and Only, had forgotten how good it was and Leslie Ann Warren was so cute back then. Now if they would show Dr Syn, Alias the Scarecrow I would be real happy!

I don't know how relevant this is but I have just finished Prison Break season 5. Now, I rate season 1 as possibly tv at it's finest. But thereafter it bombed badly. For the first five episodes of season 5 I wondered why I kept going. The last four, though pretty preposterous, had a lot of the good things about Prison Break. IE: Michaels planning.

EDIT. Just found out that there'll be a season 6 and it's going back to the beginning in some way.

I enjoyed Star Trek: Discovery a lot.
Although it IS far out and high tech as hell.
(What I like about The Original Series and Next Generation is how you are forced to use imagination because of the lack of superduper effects, so on that level Discovery fails. But what the hell, I liked Discovery :-) )

The conclusion of S01 of Counterpart. At least I assume there is another season to come...too many unanswered questions; and at least one of the protagonists deserves a better fate than he was dished out.
Anyhoo it was brilliant.
Also more of The Leftovers. I am so very glad I found this show, it just gets more and more fascinating and complex.

I thought there was a thread about forthcoming TV shows/series, but I can't find it, so apologies if this shouldn't really go here.

Anyway, I've just noticed that Channel 4 have secured season 4 of Gotham and are showing it on E4 (which unfortunately is non-HD). This starts next Tuesday evening.

Also, it seems that the final series of The Bridge (Swedish ver) will be back with the BBC next month. But for some strange reason, they are showing it on BBC2 rather than BBC4 - not that it really matters.

Looking forward to both :-)

I was a bit disappointed with the finale.

Spoilers!

I didn't really like how they killed of Aldrich, and it didn't really make sense why Howard would want Aldrich dead.

I didn't like how Peter and Clare ended up as this weird murdering, psycho couple. At the beginning it made sense for Peter to hide her because it was a huge shock for him and he didn't know how to handle the situation without being sucked into it himself. However, I'm not sure why he would side with Clare now after the attack and given the fact that she's not really his wife.

I did like how the 2 Howard's were becoming more like the other. They set that up right from the start and it came into fruition well.

I'm still excited for S02 though, hopefully it will be even better!

During the past couple days, I decided to treat myself with this excellent German series called Babylon Berlin. Set in 1929, it deals with crime, murder and political clashes that would eventually destabilize the young Weimar Republic. Lots of plot twists, some based on real events. It also shows the vibrant life in 1920s Berlin, a city that was Hollywood before Hollywood. Highly recommended.
