Christina Aguilera - I absolutely LOVE her voice. Unfortunately, I don't always like the music she makes with it. Some of the songs of hers that I do like are: Come on Over, Dirrty, Candy Man, and pretty much every song she performed in the movie "Burlesque".

Sheena Easton - Another woman with an incredibly powerful voice. She also has one of the sexiest voices ever, IMHO. I like a lot of her songs, especially: Strut, Sugar Walls, What Comes Naturally, and No Deposit No Return. The song that I think best displays the power of her voice is "Swear", from the album entitled "A Private Heaven". Another thing that surprised me was how I went from positively hating her jazz album entitled "No Strings" when I first bought it many years ago. At the time I just wanted to hear her sexy 80's style of dance songs, but as I got older and matured, I came to love the classic standards she sang on No Strings.

LeAnn Rimes - I've never been a real big country music fan, but I've always admired Leann's voice. It is just so strong, clear, and it doesn't shake like a lot of other singers do. She is just a very talented woman, and, for the last several years it has also been a pleasure watching as she has developed one of the best bikini bodies in the entertainment industry. LeAnn is one sexy, sexy lady. Among her best songs are "The Rose" and a lot of the songs on the album "Sitting on Top of the World."

Lady Gaga - She has one of the best voices ever, IMO. However, like Christina, I only like a few of her songs. If you haven't heard it, do yourself a favor and watch the YouTube video of her unaccompanied version of "The Edge of Glory" that she performed during an interview on the Howard Stern Show. It practically took my breath away the first time I heard it, and it never ceases to impress me. Her rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl a couple years ago was probably the second best I've ever heard - as great as it was, nobody, and I mean NOBODY sings our National Anthem as well as Whitney Houston did.

Susanna Hoffs - She doesn't have a voice of the caliber of Christina or Sheena, but what I love about her voice is the very cute, sweet quality it has. The fact that she has drop dead gorgeous looks doesn't hurt her cause in my book either. Two of my favorite songs are "In Your Room" and "Eternal Flame".

Paula Abdul - Like Susanna, Paula Abdul had such a cuteness in her voice that you just can't help liking her. To me, her voice is a reflection of what a nice person she seems to be. I spent many hours enjoying her first album (Forever Your Girl), but she never really matched that quality after that. Still, she is one of my all-time favorites.

Default Lesley Rankine - Silverfish

How have I not put this one forward before...?

I had the extreme good fortune of being in London in 1990, and being able to go & see the likes of The Young Gods, Daisy Chainsaw (& and many others of the noisier side of things) on an almost weekly basis, including this lot: Silverfish, whom I saw dozens of times, and who pretty much 'ruled the roost' at the time... because of Lesley Rankine.

She won't be to everyone's taste, sure (but you'd be missing out on a force of nature... never mind, your choice)

Never have I seen an individual own a room like Rankine did. She would stomp back and forth, or round in circles on the stage, and she was absolutely arresting and captivating, in precisely the way that a beautiful leopard which may be about to have you for it's breakfast would be captivating!

Fuzz would be doing his thing, as would the bassist & drummer, but trust me, all eyes in the room were on this magnificent dangerous leopard.

And she knew it... she'd be singing "... are you afraid of me?"
... er... yes, definitely yes!

Hips, Tits, Lips, Power...!
