Unhappy Zhang Ouying

She was a star player with the Chinese National Team, who started on teams that played in several World Cup and Olympic competitions. She later played for the San Diego Spirit professional team and the San Diego SeaLions club team and stayed in the San Diego area to coach youth soccer teams. Unfortunately, she is quite ill...

Global star, mother takes on cancer is the title of the article in the print version.

Here is an article from 2006 Round-Tripper

Quote:
Former captain of China's national team returns to San Diego to resume soccer career with SeaLions amateur squad.
Here is a picture of her next to me back in June of 2003...

I was able to talk to her during her SeaLion years and she is quite a gal. I have my fingers crossed that she makes it through this ordeal..

TBH I don't even know if its possible as I have not look at the league ladder today.

Dumbarton v Alloa playoff 2nd leg, 0-2(1-2Agg) Alloa score in 93min to get into extra time, then get the winner. Beaten in the playoff last season by Brechin City who won zero games this season.

Only 9 in the Levante v Barca game tonight. Surprisingly 5 of them to Levante. No unbeaten league season for Barca.

Given how bad we have been, at times worse than the bottom three and the lack of transfer activity in January amazed we reached those dizzy heights.

Just depends what's left after they dip into the profits. Still waiting for the 30 million pound striker.

We will probably stick with the current manager.

Everybody from 8th to 20th has been awful at times during the season

The EPL if nothing else is a battle of attrition every season

Spending more doesnt guarantee quick improvement - see Everton
Changing managers is little more than a lucky dip

I would add that both 5th placed Chelsea and 6th placed Arsenal under-achieved in the EPL as well....

Doesn't this seem to have become Chelsea's default setting though. All or nothing. Win the title followed by crap season afterwards and manager gets sacked.
