Boeing defends 787 Dreamliner safety after whistleblower alleged structural flaws

A whistleblower last week said that Boeing's 787 assembly put excessive stress on airplane joints that could reduce some of the planes' lifespans.

The whistleblower, Sam Salehpour, is scheduled to appear at a Senate hearing on Wednesday.

Boeing has denied the allegations and defended the quality and safety testing on its 787 Dreamliner and 777 aircraft.

Murder has fallen some from pandemic levels. Not from pre-pandemic levels. So it's a false equivalence akin to the Biden administration saying inflation is falling, when it's actually just not rising quite as fast as the catastrophic levels early in the Biden era.

I hope he has better security than the late John Barnett. Seriously the way some corporations behave globally especially in parts of the world where they are directly hand in glove with politicians and blatantly corrupt whistle blowers, activists and journalists have ended up missing or dead.

It's amazing that a company like Boeing still fails to see what the issues affecting it are and how their safety record and continual failures are causing worries among passengers and also airlines who will look to Airbus for their future long term orders.

The lack of common sense regarding the law also appears to be rife in America too. Squatters having more rights than property owners in NY. The levels of fare dodging requiring the National Guard on platforms and turnstiles and the epidemic of organized gangs looting shops. Yet it doesn't seem right to punish criminals with long jail sentences. It seems better to just let them out to do it all again. And this starts with what is deemed low level crime or antisocial behaviour.

The vast law abiding majority should not have to put up with this but it seems politicians, DAs, city mayors like the buffoon Adams in NY, lobby groups don't seem to understand crime is a serious issue for society. And that to have a society you need to tackle it wherever it is from white to blue, organized, local crime. Whatever it is.

And you do wonder about some of the people in society like these two who are unfortunately parents.

We have had this sort of vandalism too in the Peak District where ancient roc formations of aesthetic beauty as well as being integral parts of the environment have been destroyed by totally mindless yobbos (I'd like to call them something else) for a laugh, selfies or just as is often the case now mindless nihilism.

It's depressing to see that a lot of responses are well they're only rocks, they didn't hurt anyone and there is more serious crime.

These spectacles of geological beauty have been there for millions of years and once they've been destroyed you're not going to refashion them. They've given many a lot of pleasure be they photographers, naturalists or just your everyday tripper. And it's a crime. There are plenty of notices from NPS telling people not to climb on them or touch them. If they are unsafe there is always a hotline to contact.

It's just another generation of mindless morons who cannot appreciate because they lack the mental capacity to do so the innate beauty of these structures and who are so wrapped up as with many now this disease of narcissism.

Generation Z has been pretty bad. And pretty thick too thanks to the lowering of education standards, parents who cannot discipline their children, teach them respect for themselves or others, what boundaries there are. It's no wonder teachers are leaving their profession in droves. Generation alpha is even worse according to them. Tremendous.

It would be great if these two individuals were charged with endangerment of a child along with all the other crimes they have committed and forced to pay a really heavy fine and spend years in jail. Something unfortunately that is very unlikely to happen and so the cycle carries on.

Happier news is that CJ7 a female osprey has laid an egg after mating with O22. It will be the third year they have bred and it's been over 180 years since ospreys bred in the south of England thanks to mindless persecution and hunting.

Yet again human greed and overdevelopment led to the extinction of the Xerces Blue in 1943. This subspecies of the Silvery Blue is their closest genetic relative. I don't think many people still understand the existentialist threat facing the planet even as more and more severe weather events hit more and more of the planet. Wildfires already in Spain again. Farmers unable to plant crops across much of England thanks to excessive rainfall over months. So more increases in the price of staples like root vegetables.
