This is my attempt to paraphrase the last sentence in somewhat simpler English.

He seriously debated with himself whether he should unfold it at once and refold it – which was a great deal of trouble to take! – or whether he should leave it till he got to his club, where he would tell the porter to have it done at once. That would mean that he would have to walk for a mile and a quarter through London with a disarranged umbrella, which was disagreeable.

At one point in the movie he tries to tell his hotshot partner Sean Penn (Pac-Man) the story of a 'The Bull and his Son'...

A sunny perfect day on the farm two bulls were sitting on the top of the hill, smug in their finery when the son says to the father, "Hey Dad look at all those heifers and cows down there! Let's RUN down there and fuck one!" The Dad turns to his son and says, "No son lets WALK down and FUCK THEM ALL!"

Moral of the story? Save your energy for more than one, trust me its worth it!
