Like this whole racist box of Corn Pops.. Kellogg's now had to rush right out professing their commitment to diversity and inclusion and promise to redo the artwork on the cereal box.

I wouldn't have noticed this outrage had it not been pointed out to me. Here's the best image I could quickly find that's led to this latest round of "Let's Find Offense in Something". A popular home game here in the U.S.

To be fair only one person on Twitter pointed it out.

However when it was pointed out, it does make you think why a dark looking corn pop was made to be the janitor.

There should never have been a dark corn pop in the first place. There is no such thing. Corn pops are all the same color. Of course, had they made them all the same color...

I'll never eat it again, Coco Pops is racist

Dark cereal with a monkey

Whereas Rice Bubbles is white with white human kids

Damn you to hell Kelloggs

From now on if I want to eat Coco Pops I will have to mix it with Rice Bubbles and listen to that Song ..... Ebony and Ivory at the same time ....... just so my stomach feels politically correct ..... Oh, and I'll use strawberry flavoured milk so American Indians aren't offended even though I doubt there's any living here as citizens.

That's my politically correct contribution to the world, first and last

Yes.. ONE person looking to be offended thinks they've found something and issues an indignant post on social media.. minutes later, a multi-national corporation with tens of thousands of employees is suddenly worried about its very survival.

Look in a box of corn pops. They're NOT all perfectly identical in color. There is no such thing as an animated corn pop, either. Whatever color they're perceived as being. I still don't see where the one with the broom is appreciably darker than the rest. I will never believe that Kelloggs' did this on purpose. For all anybody knows, whatever color discrepancies you perceive could have happened in printing, and weren't part of the design at all.

Besides.. where's the slam? The one with the broom is the only one working.

Good for you. Diversity at any cost.

It occurred to me what the next target could be: Crayons. Someone is bound to get their knickers in a knot because the darker crayons aren't sufficiently co-mingled with the lighter colored ones.

Actually, Crayola has already been through this. The Peach crayon was known as "Flesh Tint" from 1903 til 1949 and "Flesh" from 1949 til 1962, except for 1956 til 1958 when it was called "Pink Beige."

Maybe he was a Milk Dud who wandered into the picture and this hand wringing is all for naught.

It occurs to me that Kellogg's could have avoided all this grief if they had changed the scene from a mall to a neighborhood and then made all the corn pops doing landscaping work... oh, nevermind.
