Drinking Tonight?
Are you having a drink today/tonight? Why not tell us about it, is it your regular drink, will you buy it again? Tonight I opened a bottle of Christmas Mead from the Lyme Bay Winery A rich honey mead blended with festive spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom, lemon and orange zest). We bought this when visiting Scarborough Castle while on holiday last year but it got lost in the back of the cupboard. Only 10% vol so isn't very strong but is very very sweet. My missus and our three boys don't like it so I'll have to drink it all myself. I'm sure I'll manage to force myself. Never had it before and probably won't buy it again because it really is too sweet but OK for a change.

Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Brand
There are many kind of whiskey out there, but I find that the Old No. 7 brand from JD has a very smooth, maple carol taste that I've come to love. Look for it on sale though, it can be pricey if you don't know where to go!

I'm having Piraat Triple Hop:
A 10.5% solid "tripel" beer, with a great taste. Belgian brew that is not so easy to find (and sometimes my local supermarket has a batch, i buy it whenever they have it). It indeed means "pirate". "Bitter, zesty (coriander and peach), malty and alcohol aromas are the main features of this degustation beer. Its taste is a symphony of malty (caramel) and sweet impressions complemented by hop bitters with an undercurrent of alcohol. These first impressions are followed by a long finish that is slightly sweet with a trace of hop bitters." Check it out when you have the chance! More details |

I've just two 500ml bottles of Hacker-Pschorr Munchen Kellerbier left.
I've to be up before 06:00 so they will be gone in the next 45 minutes. |
