SELLER BEWARE !! - EmmaXXXX bids but doesn't pay = Look Out

and then , they have it on file - interestingly , I never get a complaint from them. Also sold my 1/350 Model Kit ( I need the money ) and the kind UK buyer pays me straight away - then what happens !! ebay slaps a 21 day halt order on the sale , due to ' Casual Seller ' status , and I need to wait for it to lift - and here's the hilarious thing

I can get the money in a few days , if I post the item with tracking / recorded delivery - before I get paid which kinda breaks all the normal business rules , I have in place. you could not make it up .

I gave up buying and selling on eBay several years ago. Far too many rules for sellers and eBay were always difficult to deal with. Most of the buyers treated you like a mail order company and the idea of an auction was no longer relevant. Then there was Paypal with terms and conditions stretching into many thousands of unfathomable words and references about sharing your details with debt collection companies and financial firms. No idea what goes on now as I no longer use eBay or Paypal for anything.

Rest assured that things have not improved since your time there.....

I gave up as well, sold a couple of model cars online and listings had plenty of photos and written descriptions of marks on the models themselves or the boxes, etc that buyers purchased then complained about so got either partial or full refunds

The final straw was one I had which was mint in box (still had transport straps around model in box and factory seals on cardboard box so obviously never opened before as I stated in the listing) car I sold which was worth quite a lot more than the original purchase price that I sold only to have the buyer nearly 2 weeks later requesting a refund as model was not 'as described'

So I had to refund the money and he sent the model back to me and it had been dropped and damaged in the time he had it, explained this to eBay and sent photos of the damage but they still supported the buyer as he claimed it must have happened in transport back to me !!

Yes , Selling on E-Bay CAN be a minefield - the main rules are that you send the item ( unless worth less than a fiver ) by recorded delivery
but some Morons are out there that try to make out , that you item was not as described , I only sell my used ' 2000AD's ' Comics - and a few bits and pieces just to clear the house - or that I no longer need .
The Risks of Scams and Chargebacks have ruined ebay - and they do really very little - when I use the online system to ask about the
21 day halt order - I was transferred online for 3 times till the next one made out its all , in the terms and conditions
( I have been registered since 2003 ) . So screw you /

The Golden ages from ebay was 2003 to 2008 before the Financial Crash and above all - when you could receive cheques , and not deal with pay-pal
( a horrible little company ) .
You could also make decent money as the charges were far less and you sold more for your item , I used to see some daft prices for used paperbacks that you could buy at a second hand bookseller for £ 5 , sell for over $ 200 when it was in a daft bidding war..
The Book in question - Iwo Jima by Michael Russell
( Ballantine's / Purnell's History of the Violent Century ) Battle Book 32.

I see this annoying commercial in every NFL football game broadcast I've watched so far this season.

Sick of listening to business this that!

Start thinking of people!

This is one of the many problems we have with career MP's, straight from University never ever really worked.

MP's never ever think of the working man/women and their lives.

They have to pay advisers, ffs if you are not up to the job, back off!!

Get a real job first, bring back real MP's.

Had my photo taken for a newspaper article for a volunteer program I do and when they sent me a copy it really annoyed me to see some fat old fart with boobs had taken my place.

It sure is funny how our mental image of how we look is so different than the reality.

I feel your pain.

This is what my self image is.

This is from about 5 years ago.

They say that's me on the far left. I remember lining up for pictures at the party and recognize everybody else, but why did they photoshop me?

Another annoying thing is that my oldest sister is looking more like our late mother every day.

Chuggers. Not only do they bother you in the High St but the fuckers have started knocking on my front door. Three different ones today. Last I heard, they make about £50 for every sucker they sign up but they make it sound like they're doing it out of the goodness of their hearts.
