June Fairchild was born in 1946 in Manhattan Beach, California. She appeared with The Monkees as well as in films like Pretty Maids All In A Row and Thunderbolt & Lightfoot.

But while June had been a successful actress in the 1970's, by 2001 she had become homeless.

Original caption: "Former actress June Fairchild crawls toward a cat, while intoxicated, she saved 8 years ago and named it 'Pooper' in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles. Fairchild is battling alcohol addiction for decades."

Fortunately she seems to have gotten her life back in order. This photo was taken last year.

June was a beautiful actress with an alcohol problem. She was in an article in the "Los Angeles Times" in Feb. 2001 about living on Skid Row. The last two pictures are from the article. Although widely known as the woman who snorted "ajax" in the Cheech and Chong movie "Up In Smoke", she had a promising career in several films and was very popular with several musicians from her Gazzarri Dancer days. She was also featured in many Hollywood A Go Go videos and has/had a very strong fan base. It was also said she was the person who came up with the name for the band "3 Dog Night" of which her boyfriend at the time was Danny Hutton, one of the lead singers of the band.

In the movie the following happens: after the Clint & June characters have sex in the motel room, June starts dressing and asks Clint to drive her home. Being tired, he declines. She threatens to go outside and scream bloody murder (“Rape!”, actually). When he dares her, she goes ahead and does it anyway, before being dragged back into the the room by Clint, who gives in and hands her money for the cab fare.

So that scene depicted in the still is actually in the movie, though she's wearing bra & panties.

How did the above photo come about? Will we ever see a “Thunderbolt & Lightfoot” Deluxe HD edition with deleted scenes, including this one?

Some caps of June from Drive, He Said (1971) bluray. I have heard that this film had not been released in any format until now - even VHS.
