Hmm it is food for thought ubu55 BUT unfortunately we don't have a ladder and the only other one is next door but he lost the second part of it so it won't stretch. I could climb out of the window but I don't have a death wish just yet. All I know is that when the roof was done I asked if they could take it off but the chap said "Ooooh nah, you need it!" He didn't say why.

To get back on track does wall insulation work both ways? My friend recently had it shoved into his walls and they told him it would be cooler in Summer and warmer in Winter-well we've had Summer and when I was round there I didn't notice a whole lot of difference-still Winter to come so we shall see. Has anyone else got it or thinking about getting it installed?

Greenman it depends on many factors. There are three basic types. Blown (mind out of the gutter guys), fiberglass blanket (roles), and rigid foam. Most should work both ways but if you go to a vendor they should be able to let you know for sure. Plus they should be able to tell you what would work best for a particular application.
