Gorgeous women you don't fancy.

Here's my first attempt at a thread.

It is interesting to me that there are some famous women who are undeniably gorgeous by any reasonable measure, but I see them and think 'Meh'.

Of course, the vast majority won't fit into this category for me, but there are some who inspire worship in many people whilst leaving me cold.

My interest stems from the variety of tastes that we all have, that aren't necessarily reflected in the mainstream media. A lot of people, not only women, feel that they have to live up to some oft-promoted sexy ideal, but the universal nature of that ideal is overplayed. I just want to see how many posters on here have tastes that might be surprising.

Obviously, I'm writing this from the comfortable position of being a perfect specimen of manhood but, to my unending surprise, there are even some women who can resist my charms.

I'll kick off with three:

Jennifer Aniston - don't like her smile.

Kelly Brook - stirkes me as bland.

Sandra Bullock - I think she looks like a bloke.

I would be fascinated to read some other people's opinions on this matter. Feel free to tear me apart for this or add a few of your own.

Oh, I don't know. Blokes can be gorgeous too - I present myself as exhibit A.

IMHO i think there are too many of these threads popping up on what is supposed to be a forum celebrating these women, not slagging them off...????

as a great man once said (Ing i think?) if you dont like a certain celeb/model, then dont clck on her thread...easy??!!!

any chance of the current forum cleansing team removing some of these threads..????

I think you're getting the wrong end of the stick here. I'm not trying to slag these women off - I clearly stated that they are 'undeniably gorgeous by any reasonable measure' in the OP.

I'm interested in our differences in individual tastes and how that is often ignored. As it happens, there are many women who I find beautiful but would not generally be considered so.

5 posts in to my first thread and someone is calling for it to be cleaned up!

Maybe I'm not cut out for this, eh?

There's room for a thread discussing beautiful women who just don't do it for us, just don't get our motors running. But any more of this mutual back-biting and this will not be that thread, because I will bin it in the interests of peace and goodwill.

The truth is that we don't all feel the same way and that all of us have slightly different desires. But the title isn't: "She's a minger; I don't get what the fuss is about." The title is "Georgeous women you don't fancy." That's a bit more of a challenge.

The woman is:

Gorgeous: you think so yourself.
Just not sexy to you, even though she might be to others.

Are we clear?

A few offerings from me to try to get us back on topic.

Naomi Campbell: she's really pretty and a great clothes horse, but leaving all my issues with her as a person completely to one side, I just couldn't. She's not my cup of tea. She's undeniably a looker though.

Going back into the vintage archives, the late Jane Russell was one of the legendary great beauties of 1940s and 1950s cinema and who can deny she was outstandingly beautiful? She was also a gifted actress, especially in comic roles. She did not register on my totti-scope.

Anna Friel: very very pretty, and I really rated her in Pushing Daisies recently, at once extremely funny and a bitter sweet and sensitive romantic performance. But once again, not one rumble from the motor. The male anatomy does not lie.

Chaps, lets focus on what the question asks. This is not a troll thread for "her other name is VD McSlag" type posts.

Angelina Jolie would be my most obvious choice as well.
She really is stunning but she just don't get my juices flowing.
I don't know why either.

I gotta agree with Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie. Good looking and talented, but they just don't do anything for me.
