NIN-I did mate Nice pics.
Did you know that Nicolas Winding Refn-that is without doubt a very silly name-became infamous when he swore on the early morning BBC Breakfast show. He was talking about his then latest film 'Driver' starring Ryan Gosling and a British actress I forget the name of. Anyway he was asked about the sexual chemistry between the characters and why he made the main character so violent. He answered simply enough but then went on to mention the F word twice including it's verb form(i.e. f***ing) Bill Turnbull and Louisa Preston I think it was apologised to the viewers for the language yet Refn was unapologetic although he did manage a grudging apology when pressed.

Radio 1 have been carpeted when Lily Allen and Ed Sheeran both swore several times this year during a live outside broadcast concert. Famously Bob Geldof is alledged to have said 'give us your f****ing money" during coverage of Live Aid although he says he didn't quite say that. During another BBC-covered LIVE concert Snoop Dogg was heard to swear several times. When will these people learn?

In Germany we are more unpolite! When they say "ficken" it means "ficken"

Some of the worlds' most strangely named places:
Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump-Canada

Fray Bentos-a town in Uruguay and a famous brand once of a tin of steak in this country.

Devil's Mother-a peak in Ireland.

Murderkill-an American river

Disappointment Island-New Zealand

Blubberhouses-a Yorkshire village
and my personal favourite Bing Bong, a port in Australia.

That pizza should feed the entire VEF membership...if we don't invite Estreeter and Max.

How much extra will it be for a dumpster full of wings?

I seem to recall that as a party piece on his show Kenny Everett used to reel that off with perfect ease

I'd love to go to New Zealand but as a t-shirt I have says on it "AUSTRALIA! It's a BLOODY LONG WAY!" and I think it is further to New Zealand- the flight including two stops nearly killed me in 1993! - jet lag is a killer and it took me three days to acclimatise - but did you know you should avoid alcohol and when you reach your destination have a shower to help keep you awake.

Depends which way you come-via the US or via Asia-but I agree-yes it is a bloody long way-but we're closer than Australia if you come via the US! The 'tasman gap' alone is about 3-1/2-4 hours flying time [depending on destination] In contrast-back in 2000 I flew from Israel to Norway (or clean across Europe on the diagonal-and a bit more-in just under 5 hours...

To really put things into perspective-especially to you in the UK-Wellington and Sydney are further apart-in distance-than London and Moscow!
