convert MP4 to WMV
Hi guys. Can anyone suggest an uncomplicated way to convert MP4 (or other formats) to WMV?
I'm down sizing my collection but want to convert whats left into WMV so I can than burn as DVD video to be able to play on a normal DVD player. Many thanks MJM |

I use "any video converter" (http://www.any-video-converter.com/p...or_video_free/).
It's easy to use (at least in my eyes). Attention: if you want also to make previews with "image grabber" know that clips converted by the 5.x.y-version from "any video converter" make your image grabber freeze, so the best is then to make previews from the original clip.

I use FFMpeg http://ffmpeg.org/
However, it's not completely up to date with the latest variants of WMV, and the makers warn you to encode WMV at your own legal risk (!)

On top of that, DVD is actually an outdated format. My advise: purchase a modern media player. It will play almost anything you throw at it. Just stick in a USB and play it.

+1
My TV can play MP4s just by plugging in to its USB port. I wouldn't waste time with the WMV format at all.
