Unfortunately, the best car usually wins. See Senna, Prost, Mansell, Hill, Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton, Villneuve...
Schumacher didn't even need the best car in 94 and 95

But if Ferrari have the supposedly better car and the bigger budget then why shouldn't Mercedes and their lead driver deserve to win the championship if Lewis beats them home more often than not ?

Both teams and both lead drivers have made stupid mistakes costing valuable points and often with championship changing results since they began to battle for the championship with each other as the 'favourites' for the title

Whatever we say, we all know that even if Vettel retakes the lead, he'll make a stupid error handing it back to Hamilton. Hamilton will go on to win at least 10 WDC and 150 wins. Yes I hate Hamilton but I'm more fed up with the amateurism at Ferrari and the fact that they clearly don't have a reliable number 1 driver. It's been ten years since our last championship and I thought this year would be the year. Clearly Ferrari should let Raikkonen race, but with that incompetent Arrivabene it won't happen. Another year flushed down the drain.

Default Mark Hughes for Motor Sport magazine

If you want to read a report on the race by an English speaking journalist then former Autosport Editor Mark Hughes is the best of them all and writes for the classic ‘Green Banner’ Motor Sport Magazine.

Luck is a part of racing. If it wasn't for luck, drivers like Al Unser Sr and Jr. would have one and two less Indianapolis 500 wins, Nelson Piquet would only have one World Championship and so on and so forth.

But Lewis, lucky or not did deserve his win, driving from 14th place--which isn't easy especially when your teammate is faster and with hungry guys like Jos Verstappen.

Men make their own luck sometimes . Al Sr in particular, was noted for his ability to stay out of trouble , look after the unreliable cars of his era and thus be around at the end - hence 4 Indy 500 wins.

I can bang on all day, against popular opinion, that the Benetton of 94/95 was better than the Willams. Hill might not be a top 5 all time driver, but he's not that shit.

The 94 Benetton, being Ford engined, had a lot less power than the Williams but I reckon the 95 Benetton with Renault power was as good as the Williams.

I think that we need to remember that rain on the track is a racing wildcard.
