A simple way is to use PhotoShop. Create a blank image in the same dpi and total pixels of the width and height of all your scanned parts. Then layer the scanned parts onto the blank image. You can trim the edges off your scans or overlay the edges and make them disappear using the eraser tool for that part of the layer. Once you are finished simply save the file in the format or formats you want.

Thank you Shylock for the information.
I have an old PC running on Windows 7, I used to use the Live Movie Maker to turn pics into short films. I do not have PhotoShop. Can I use it for free. Will it work on Windows 7. Are there any other options. |

Hi Catomance,
What I do with spreads of this size is making two horizontal scans of the second page, using the full capacity of my A4 scanner. so I get 3 scans of 2 pages. This will create a serious overlap. Microsoft ICE will automatically match those 3 scans and line them up in one pic. MS ICE is no longer developed, but it is free. See my guide here: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/sho...70#post2656270

I saw your post earlier & knocked up a quick example of a joined version of those two halves but had to make dinner before posting. Now I've come back & I see Jism Jim has answered with very good advice, he's far more experienced with magazines than I. I was going to recommend Paint.net as it's an excellent, powerful but still relatively easy to use & free art program capable of being used to join images. It does take some skills to join two halves of a magazine spread though with an art program, so some practice is required. Here was my go at it: Hope this is of use! |

PoloMintGuy Super Moderator Thank you ever so much. There is a very long story about this lady. I have all the mags (and scans) I can find with her in. Not very many mags was she in. I have a thread for Siew Lien if there are any more mag pics. Last edited by Catomance2021; July 22nd, 2021 at 09:59 PM.. Reason: update - better wording |

Hi there Catomance2021!
No problem, happy to help! Quote:

However, using Wayback Machine you can still find working links: ICE-2.0.3-for-64-bit-Windows.msi ICE-2.0.3-for-32-bit-Windows.msi There are two versions, one for 64 bit machines & another for 32 bit, you just need one depending on your system. If you are unsure which you have: "If you're using Windows 7 or Windows Vista, hit Start, right-click “Computer,” and then choose “Properties.” On the “System” page, look for the “System type” entry to see whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit." Hope this is of use! Last edited by PoloMintGuy; July 23rd, 2021 at 07:42 PM.. Reason: Fixed typo |

Lot's of great tips here, and I 1000% recommend Jim's advice of getting 3 scans per 2 pages. That technique has saved me countless headaches when trying to get good stitches. You may be able to get by with 2 scans for magazines such as Cavalier, Jaguar, Genesis...but it can still be a pain sometimes without that 3rd scan. Magazines such as 1970s Club and Men Only absolutely require a 3rd scan on an A4 setup...unless you don't mind them looking mismatched or "off". There is an underused script in Photoshop called "Load files into stack..." under File--->Scripts. This will autoload all scans into layered format with the click of a button. Then just change to your desired canvas size and you are ready to go to work. Hope this helps! Last edited by EvilElf13; July 23rd, 2021 at 05:02 PM.. Reason: typo |
