Of course its hypocritical, it wouldn't be a Govt enforced law if it wasn't these days. It has nothing to do with protecting children from looking at porn as they claim. There are far easier ways to do it without pissing off consenting adults who want to watch a little porn. This is all about the Govt wanting to know everything about everyone. Its bullshit and the Govt knows its bullshit but the average Joe is not going to stand up. They do not want to be seen as someone who watches porn and enjoys porn. So they target the easy prey, which is the consumer. As you say twitter and Facebook are exempt at this point even though they both host porn.

The funny thing is the Govt and its many cronies then wonder why so many people don't like them. They wonder why there are so many anti-govt websites and forums. Its shit like this, that's the fucking reason.
