I saw scans today of a magazine printed and sold in Brazil--very much like Portugese-language Cosmopolitan or Vogue--called Plastica. It is entirely devoted to selling cosmetic, plastic surgery to women.

It has full-colour, airbrushed, before-and-after pictures; ideas for surgical body sculpting; tips on choosing lip, breast, and buttock 'styles'; discussions on what type of liposuction might be best for you; etc. Much like everyday Vanity Fair or Mademoiselle mags have 'similar' articles.

Ugh. I feel a need to be violently ill on behalf of all humanity.

That sometimes unplugging the external drives, swearing at them and plugging them back in - but to a different USB port - works.

I though I had lost one drive with 1.6 TB of data. Happily it still works so I'm off out to buy a backup today.
