NHS nurses and uniform

Some of this topic could have been put into vintage talk as I am reminiscing about the sixties and seventies and probably partly the stereotypical dress code for nurses portrayed in films like The Carry On or Doctor Sparrow series. Nowadays the basic uniform for nurses in the UK is less flattering more libido numbing apart from the ward sister who often wears a buttoned dark blue figure hugging dress which allows a slim chance of a peek at underwear, and also does give us males a chance to see some of her legs.
I have spent three occasions in hospital during the last 50 years, albeit one was very brief and I can definitely say the earlier stay was the most fruitful in enjoying the sight of stocking legs, outlines of suspenders through their rustling uniform dresses and a good eyeful of bosom as the collar and lapels allowed down blouse views. At one stage as I was a youngster a very sexy nurse had to keep me perfectly still by laying across me trapping my left hand under her body. She was chatting to me and I was feeling her stocking top and suspender clip and she didn't move an inch as my fingers wiggled away at it. I was curious but she was very professional(or enjoying the fiddling). The other longer stay in 1970 was in a mans ward where some guys were trying to seduce a couple of the nurses, and late one night there was a lot of moaning and sex noises coming from behind the curtain of one guy's bed after the young pretty nurse went in. She came back out with her uniform all displaced and her hair in a mess. During that spell I was attended to by a 30 something nurse with a motherly instinct to looking after me. She was as close to my face with her breasts as the oxygen mask that I was given on admission. She was forever reorganising my pillows and stroking my face , squeezing my hand and running her hand across my chest in a comforting way, but the main thing was I got to feel the heat from her breasts and smell a delicious perfume. I was only 12 but my todger was having a great time under those bed covers. She came every night to give me her attention and my cock stood to it during the whole time. That might have been embarrassing when she checked my dressing from an appendectomy but I actually revelled in her seeing what she did to my tent pole as it supported my pyjama trousers . Nowadays the nurses wear neutral colors sometimes in a dress but often wearing trousers underneath. The stocking clad nurses of the films in the sixties and seventies are just a distant memory. However some junior doctors(the female ones) can wear what they like and I was pleasantly shocked recently to see a very tall and leggy brunette who was wearing stiletto shoes, short leather-look skirt, and tights that had the design that made them look like stockings, with a seam and false garter top just below her hem line. She got a few of the men talking and feeling better.

I was in hospital in 1986 as a 20 yr old and scared stiff of the forthcoming operation I needed. I was lucky because back then the nurses wore something a hell of a lot more sexy than now but one girl was very nice, a redheaded nurse, possibly Irish. There were some other nice nurses too, my friend who came to see me was taken with the red head. Can't say I experienced anything quite like that, not being too well endowed but it was more embarrassing what I had and so there was no real opportunity to get aroused-also in a lot of pain. To show my appreciation of everyone that looked after me I bought a huge box of chocolates and presented it to the matron or ward sister. I know what you mean about the Carry on-style nurse(Barbara Windsor springs to mind) but that is mostly for films and television. These days we need more respect of women especially nurses because they get paid a pittance for such a hard job.

I certainly had respect for the staff attending to the ward I was on recently. What they had to deal with, particularly with the older men and their gastric issues, would have caused most people to resign their first day. They also we're doing other jobs that were not part of their job description, including going to the kitchens and making sandwiches or doing toast and food when a patient had missed their meal. Some of the sights would have made most people faint or throw up. During the frantic times they were reassuring and so unbelievably supportive. I even said thank you to the tea lady as I was discharged. But still can't get over the sexiness of the ward sister.��

MY own more recent hospital experiences would've been much more traumatic & harder to deal with if it hadn't been for some terrific nurses; not to mention a damn fine surgeon who spoke to me more like a friend than a patient. I still recall him coming over to me on his pre-surgery rounds, to say "You're up to bat first, old chap!" Made me feel much better, as did his work on my ear. (twice)

For those of us at advanced ages, an attractive girl wearing what I think of as a 'traditional' uniform (i.e. 1950s - early 1960s) is probably one of most sexy memories, and probably one of our most unfulfilled fantasies.

Even more modern uniforms, while far less sexy, can look good on the right lady.

I've only been an inpatient three times in my life, the first time as a child around 1970, the second time as a young man in 1980 and the third time in 2014 as a 55 year old. The first time I was too young to notice sexy nurses, the third time I was too ill and whats more the uniform had changed to the modern tunics and trousers but in 1980 the uniform was very much as in the fourth poster in Schwenk's post immediately above:

Had to go into hospital for one night for an operation on my balls some 25 years ago - had a varicocele (google it if you don't know what it is!).The evening of surgery, the surgical dressing had to be removed, and what can only be described as a netting sack placed around to protect them. The senior nurse gave the job to the youngest most junior student nurse to do - deliberately, I am sure, to embarrass her. She spent some 15 minutes trying to get this thing round my balls, while moving my erect/semi-erect cock out of the way! All the time, the nurses at the ward station were laughing to each other! The poor student nurse was very embarrassed and kept apologising. I was just enjoying every minute of it!!

As a Boxing Day slug, we tend to watch an old box set, and today's was 'The Singing Detective'. Apart from a celebrated, but unrevealing sex scene (apart form a male bare bum) the main sex appeal was Joanne Whalley in nurse's uniform, making the poor author cum while applying cream to his Psoriasis.
