This statement is a complete lie. Her husband comes from a well to do family and has done very well investing in commercial real estate and the stock market. It would be practically impossible not to have become extremely wealthy over the past 50 years with a portfolio of Northern California real estate. Mr. Pelosi is known to take great care to avoid investments that might create a conflict of interest for his wife.

Perhaps you are thinking of Senator Dianne Feinstein, who has come under heavy criticism for using the influence of her office to steer lucrative government contracts to her husband's businesses. I find this particularly disgusting because both she and Richard Blum were quite wealthy when they married in 1980, 12 years before she became a senator. Since Mr. Blum is believed to be a billionaire many times over, one has to wonder how much money is enough.
