Well the food is modern and trad. You get to choose. You get fresh icy water twice a day. On ward 12 we got tea and coffee with biscuits 6 times a day. It isn't going to win awards, but the food is OK.

Ronnie Biggs, who gives a fuck about him. I hope he eats socks with pool balls in them.

You will need..
500g diced beef
200g carrots (sliced)
150g mushrooms (sliced)
1 medium onion
2 tablespoons oil
150ml water

I have...

500g Lincolnshire sausages
Baby carrots
Three leeks instead of onions
A red pepper that had to be used
Cherry tomatoes will burst and give moisture
Plenty of fat in the sausages

Bung it all in the roasting bag
add spice then oven 200C 75mins

When I lost the use of my tastebuds due to cholesterol -lowerng statins and nearly all food tasted like filth, I found that gravy made with a stock cube and beer would kill the taste of nearly everything, thankfully.

There was a guy on my ward who was in hospital because he couldn't eat

weird. He did try, but he pushed his food around his plate.

Don't want to be a downer old chap, but from what you have related to us about your eating habits I am not sure if I could face food while in your company at mealtimes. The legend goes that as a trencherman you can make Billy Bunter look anorexic.
And while not wishing to cast nastutiums and spread in- for-me, the word is that your hospital visit was due to injury to the snout and trotters at the trough .
And it is viscious rumour that I have been spreading your nicnames as 'The Famine' or 'The Swarm of Locusts' due to your dietary excesses.
All fabrication, as are the allegations tht all the women on your street where you grew up changed their names by deed-poll to 'Old Mother Hubbard'

I eat like most other people with a knife fork and spoon. I complained in hospital because they gave me a desert spoon to eat my soup. I eat regular food, but have the odd take away.
