What are your thoughts on AI-generated erotica?

I find it fascinating how the current AI trend impacts almost all industries that have something to do with digital products.

I like to experience new things and recently have grown a bit addicted to AI porn image generators. To type in some descriptive words (i.e. prompts) and the AI will present you with the image based on the word input to me is really a mindblowing experience. You often get surprised at what AI generates for you - sure we might sometimes get some miscounted fingers, but the surprisingly high accuracy of details (cumshot, o-face, some kinky fetish action) could really make you believe it's just an ordinary well-lit portrait during a sex scene. I think we'll have some fun with AI-generated content for our secret pleasure time.

So what about you? Do you think AI-generated content is there to stay, or is it just a fad? Have you had any experience with those text-to-image AI tools?

I can't help sympathize with the porn stars who will almost certainly be missing out. As AI gets better it's bound to have a negative impact on the porn industry and girls especially. They are already under pressure to measure up to the male fantasy of the ideal woman, and this is just going to add more pressure.
Also another thing I really don't like are the amount of AI images featuring Hollywood actresses. I mean it must make them cringe to see their face on so porn fantasy.
Just my opinion, and as such not worth much.

You raised a good point on the AI images featuring celebrities. I mean I think it's understandable if you only generated lookalike images for your own pleasure time fantasy as long as you didn't share them out in the public i.e. the viral and sometimes rather hostile internet.

Your first point reminds me of Black Mirror S6E1 with Salma Hayek and Robin Wright's 2013 movie The Congress. All the fast-moving sci-fi technology stuff is undoubtedly pushing society forward. Advance brings positive impact, and it's bound to generate a certain level of negative impact as well to make the whole process more efficient. I for one am bullish on how the industry crosses paths with AI, and I'm expecting some really cool interaction that's gonna level up our experience in sensual pleasure.

Assuming the technology keeps advancing, the universe of pr0n will be wholly revolutionized because anyone will be able to "prompt" any kind of sex they want, featuring any kind of men or women (or somewhere in between!) they want (even furries, aliens, and beyond) and the AI will render whole scenarios (or even movies?) featuring exactly the kind of content desired. With high audio and visual fidelity.

Ordinary flesh-and-cameras pr0n will become a niche. Even a fetish? The mainstream will be wholly AI.

In a few years time, we will look back at these picture generators as quaint. You will be able to create full on movies with any star you want, doing anything you can imagine. It will not only cause trouble for porn publishers, but for all the big movie studios and any company that produces media. That's a big part of what the current writer's strike in Hollywood is about. AI could "render" them useless. You could relax at home, and create a new Spider-Man movie with any actors you want. There's going to be an explosion of content in the future. There will probably even be an attempt to regulate it legally at some point.

I was looking at some copyright laws earlier today, and I noticed that AI generated art cannot be copyrighted. This is in the Berne act, which is a treaty between countries to have reciprocity concerning copyrights.
