Dyanna Lauren did that a few times in the mid to late 90s. Where the Boys Aren't 7 in particular.

My wife and I rented the movie when it was first released on VHS and we loved the movie as well as the music. The song playing during the Devil scene was freaking amazing. Since the scene starred Traci Lords it had to be removed, along with the epic tune, when it was released on DVD

If anyone knows the name of the song or where it can be obtained please post.

This album is pretty awesome and has a couple of songs from New Wave Hookers. It also has the earlier mentioned Ring of Fire by Wall of Voodoo from Nightdreams:

California punk band Chemical people did some soundtracks for Dark Brothers movies eg Black Throat (now catalog deleted due to Traci lords being in it. She's edited out of some versions). Dark Bros movies always had good music.

The movie version is here:

Chemical people released their version on 2" Pecker Records with Jack Baker on vocals.

There's a live version here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoTA-nzKmKU

They had a soundtracks LP out as well:

You'll see Greg Dark listed.

edit - turns out I still have this cd. According to the liner notes the songs are jams done for the Dark Bros movies Between the Cheeks 2 and New Wave Hookers 2.

Exclamation The one you should get - somehow.

The vintage movie with the astounding soundtrack is Roger Watkins' "Her Name Was Lisa" (1979).

Why hasn't this movie received a legitimate DVD issuance? One: VCA owns the rights to it. The explicit BDSM scenes probably give it conniptions, and it would try to edit or cut them. [A 67-minute version exists.] But it is more probably - Two: R. Watkins put so much recognizable (& copyrighted) music on the soundtrack that the entire movie would have to be rescored. That would absolutely make the release unprofitable . [The selections range from Jimmy Smith to Santa Esmeralda to Led Zeppelin. I submit that not even Martin Scorsese could afford to license all the music in this motion picture.]
Look for a VHS Rip of its 1980s videocassette release.
