Our mailboxes always were. The thieves had a particular liking for ex-WWII mortar boxes.

I'm surprised the Aussies haven't seen the obvious remedy, what with them already being the wrong way up.

Are there any like 'mom and pop' independent hardware stores anywhere anymore? A genuine question.
I used to work for one that was later bought out by Mitre..

Fortunately they also bought out most of Gunns down here.
The same Gunns that had both Robin Gray and Edmond Rouse on their board of directors simultaneously.
Any wonder I don't trust politicians?

Kevin here. There are plenty of independent hardware stores in America. Most of them are in the thousands of small towns, but even the big cities have them too. Sometimes these stores are more successful(financially) than the much larger chain stores. They usually specialize is just one product such as paint or tools.
